Queen's Park moved up to fourth in the Scottish Championship as they condemned Greenock Morton to back-to-back league defeats for the first time this season.
Striker Zak Rudden's 25th-minute goal was good enough to give the visitors all three points as they responded well to their loss to Partick Thistle at the weekend.
Morton's misery was compounded when midfielder Iain Wilson was shown a second yellow card in the 90th minute.
Queen's Park now occupy the final promotion play-off spot, with a two-point cushion over fifth-placed Thistle.
