Manchester United are almost there. They haven't won in Europe in over a year, since they beat Copenhagen 1-0 in October, 2023.

A slick counter attack has St Gallen ahead.

Lukas Gortler wins the ball in the middle of the pitch and slips it out to Christian Witzig on the left-hand side. He plays a lovely ball across the face of goal which falls to Hugo Vandermersch at the back post and his low effort hits Larne defender Levi Ives, who was trying to clear it, on the way in.

A sucker punch for Larne, who have fallen victim to the only two real moments of quality from the Swiss visitors.

There is something quite unpleasant about a little known side losing by this score line in Europe. It’s supposed to be a competition not an exhibition.

Has there ever been a penalty with less pressure on it than this one for Nkunku?

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November

Adrian Beck is just a yard away from doubling Heidenheim's advantage.

Beck meets a lay-off first time and it's just the wrong side of the woodwork as far as the German club are concerned.

Watching the celebrations in the Manchester United technical area and there's clearly a bond and a good vibe between those guys to keep the ship afloat.

    Man Utd 2-0 PAOK

    Izzy Christiansen

Amad Diallo cuts inside onto his left foot, it is a brilliant strike. It caps off what has been an exceptional individual performance from him.

  17. Postpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November

    Hearts 0-1 Heidenheim

Neil Critchley has only been in charge of Hearts for a matter of weeks. He gazes back to his bench to consider what move to make next.

How well does he know this squad? What options can he turn to?

On the field, it gets a bit scrappy as Malachi Boateng and Lennard Maloney collide and we have a break in play.

  18. PENALTY - Chelseapublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November

    Chelsea 7-0 Noah

The referee has been sent to the monitor and he's awarded the penalty!

It was a foul on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Yan Eteki. It felt harsh and I'm not sure the referee was actually shown every angle.

  19. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 2-0 PAOKpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November

    Amad Diallo (77 mins)

    They have their cushion!

It's a brilliant solo goal as Amad Diallo wins the ball back off Abdul Baba, dribbles towards the edge of the box, cuts inside, and then curls an effort into the far corner.

His strike took a little deflection, but if any Manchester United player deserved to net another, it's Amad.
