  1. 'I am probably playing the best football of my career'published at 11:49 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

    England

England defender Dan Burn: "The more camps I take, the more confidence from it. On a personal level, I am probably playing the best football of my career. I am in a good place physically and mentally, where I am up for the challenge.

"In my first camp, the World Cup was something not close to being on my radar. But now I am on camp three, I just want to implement what the gaffer is asking of me in the team and play as well as I can, so I can get picked for these camps."

  2. 'We will find the right midfield pairing'published at 11:46 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

England manager Thomas Tuchel on his midfield: "At the moment the four players are competing in central midfield, Jordan [Henderson], Declan [Rice], Elliot [Anderson] and Ruben [Loftus-Cheek]. They are all very mobile players and there is not one deep number six, maybe John Stones but he left this morning.

"The strengths of our players is to be mobile and in modern day football that is more of an advantage than a disadvantage and we have our ideas of how we will set up and you will hopefully see some glimpses of it tomorrow and against Serbia and from there we will go.

"We have top players and we will find the right pairing, we have to be flexible because anything can happen, someone can be injured and it is not the moment to make a final decision for the World Cup."

    Harry from Kane...?

Now I'm questioning David from Beckenham earlier...

    Can tell it's Friday.

Yeah, there's no curse. England has great players, but they just kept Southgate for too long. He was not a good manager. But now they have a GOOD manager, they might actually win now.

  5. 'Breaking down a block is like chewing gum'published at 11:40 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

    England

England manager Thomas Tuchel on what he has learnt so far: "I am not counting the numbers of players that we will change but we learned a lot from [the last game against Andorra] and from both camps.

"We invited a lot of players, I think it was 35 between the two camps and the June camp is always a bit of a tricky one after holidays and long season, some players need to restart the engine so we take all of that in to our observations.

"I think we made good choices so far and everyone deserves to be in camp. I did not like the structure [agaisnt Andorra] as it was not ideal and that is down to me.

"We made it too easy for Andorra to find the moments to close us down and to find the moments to slow our game down and we will find new solutions to break down the block a bit easier.

"We always have to balance our expectations because Andorra is a well drilled team, I know it maybe sounds a little silly but that is the way it is, they know what they are doing after 8-10 years with the same coach.

"It can feel a little like chewing gum to break a block down like this but we have to play with more energy and more enthusiasm and so far I'm sure we will."

England manager Thomas Tuchel on Marc Guehi: "Of course we had a chat with him. He looks absolutely fine and impressive on the field, he has a good couple of weeks behind him on the performance side. He is the main driver of Crystal Palace's success, he is the captain and the leader and he played very impressively at the end of last season.

"He has continued like that in camp and he handles it [his transfer situation] with respect and with and with brilliant attitude."

  7. Bring it home Thomas...published at 11:35 British Summer Time

England manager Thomas Tuchel was asked about his interactions with fans in public: "I get a lot of tips but always in a friendly manner. Most of them just say 'bring it home Thomas' and that is basically the task."

Shame we won’t see Wharton. I think England need him. Very classy. His through-balls cut through defences like a knife through butter. Would like to see Anderson alongside Rice. Burn worries me, too easy to out-pace. Let’s give RLC a go. Don’t select him for nothing.

England manager Thomas Tuchel on Ruben Loftus-Cheek: "It was always a pleasure to work with him and I am very happy that I had the chance to call him up. He is a nice guy to be around, very friendly and very polite with a good sense of humour.

"He is full of qualities and sometimes I don't think he is aware how good he is and how good he can be but he fits in seamlessly because of his character and his quality and he competes for a place in central midfield and it is good to see that he is fit and not injured.

"If he stays healthy he is always in the frame to make an impression on the international level."

  10. 'It is a really good atmosphere'published at 11:29 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

    England

England manager Thomas Tuchel on who has impressed him from the new call-ups to the squad: "The group has impressed me the most. The energy, the quality and the attitude within the group [has been good].

"I'm very happy with how they have welcomed the newcomers and I'm happy with how the newcomers have presented themselves both on and off the pitch.

"It is not the moment to speak about individuals, everyone is doing good and it is a really good atmosphere."

  11. Kane to start for Englandpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

    England

England manager Thomas Tuchel on if Harry Kane will play: "Yes. He [Harry Kane] starts. There is no balance, the competition is on and it is World Cup season.

"We have a condensed camp and that means we will start with the team that we trust and the best team possible and we will manage the second game. We will not do it backwards.

"We will not get caught up in experiments and everything that counts is today and tomorrow and then we will do our assessment after the match to see who is available.

"The players will start to play two matches a week after the international camp and I do not see a problem why they can't start that one week earlier and play on a Saturday and a Tuesday."

  12. England must 'overcome deep block'published at 11:24 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

England manager Thomas Tuchel on dealing with defensive opposition: "We have had excellent training sessions, excellent energy, both on and off the pitch. The group worked very well and I am at the moment very, very positive.

"Like I said, in sport it is not about what you have done yesterday but about what you do tomorrow to get better and so I expect a good training session from the players to be ready for tomorrow.

"We will face - in both matches - a deep block and a 5-4-1 for sure in the first match and it is the challenge to overcome that quickly and aggressively and play with more rhythm than we did in the first match [against Andorra]."

With regards to the midfield problem maybe Tuchel could look at a 3-5-2 against Andorra. Might work quite well.

  14. Everyone except Stones fit for Englandpublished at 11:20 British Summer Time

England v Andorra (Sat, 17:00 BST)

    England

England manager Thomas Tuchel on availability: "Unfortunately John Stones just left [the camp], he came with minor muscle issues to the camp and did not progress as we thought and hoped he would so he left the camp this morning because we will not take the risk with him, not against Andorra or Serbia.

"Everyone else is available, we had 21 players yesterday in training and 21 players today in training and we just need to make sure everyone is available for tomorrow."

Defender Dan Burn has just been asked about Alexander Isak - in his England news conference.

He says there is no animosity to the forward and he has nothing but good wishes for Isak at Liverpool - aside from when the Reds play Newcastle.

We'll bring you full quotes from that and more once we've whizzed through the rest of manager Thomas Tuchel's bits...

England manager Thomas Tuchel on competition for places: "Like I said it has been an excellent camp until now and I could not be happier with the engagement, the quality, the awareness and how the group is together. Hopefully now we have another top training session later today and we can prove the point to you and the fans can see what I see on a daily basis."

  17. John Stones leaves England camppublished at 11:12 British Summer Time

    Alex Howell

  18. 'There is no curse on England'published at 11:09 British Summer Time

England manager Thomas Tuchel on extra pressure from other England teams winning: "No [I don't think it has added pressure]. If it is something then it is a good omen and I was so happy for Sarina [Wiegman] and Lee [Carsley] because they made it and they made an extraordinary effort and a huge success with back-to-back victories.

"It is possible [to win a trophy with England], there is no curse on English teams and it is a good omen and we will do our very best to follow their example."

Tuchel has yet to play a dominant team, Senegal aside - and these early matches against international minnows will not show him how his team are progressing as easy wins are expected. Nobody knows how we will perform against quality opposition.

    England

England manager Thomas Tuchel: "I did not think so much about where I want to be but I am happy with where I am at the moment. There was a lot of learning for us and for me personally in the first two camps. We had an excellent camp three until now but as you know it's never about what you did and it's always about what you do in the moment and to go forward, progress and get better.

"We have a very important training session today to get ready for the match on Saturday but I am happy where I am and I am happy where the team is and we can feel a change in attitude as we arrive in the World Cup season."
