New signing Joel Colwill hit a 96th-minute winner to claim victory for Cheltenham Town over Newport County.
The League Two season opener looked to be heading for a draw after County had fought back from two goals down.
Michael Flynn’s side had got off to a perfect start against his former club, with two of his new recruits slotting home inside the opening 30 minutes.
Colwill, on loan from Cardiff City, fired into the bottom left corner, with Liam Dulson on target just a few minutes later.
County, under new manager Nelson Jardim, hit straight back thanks to two of their summer signings.
Bobby Kamwa drew a foul in the box to set up a Courtney Baker-Richardson penalty, which he coolly converted.
Oliver Greaves then struck to make it all square after an entertaining first half.
There were chances for both sides after the break, but neither could convert, until Colwill overcame a difficult angle to score at the death.
