Chris Kane's second-half winner secured a precious three points for Dunfermline

Neil Lennon's Dunfermline Athletic earned a vital win in their quest for Scottish Championship survival by edging out fellow strugglers Queen's Park.

After a goalless first half, Chris Kane's 69-minute goal proved decisive at Hampden, with the crucial victory pulling Dunfermline out of the relegation play-off place on goal difference.

Following Hamilton's win at Partick Thistle, the defeat sends Queen's into that dreaded ninth spot as the second-tier's conclusion nears.

With just three league games remaining, both Dunfermline and Queen's are now five points above bottom-side Airdrieonians.
