  1. Robinson eager to meet growing Saints expectationspublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time

    Motherwell v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "We've had a tough run, performed really well and now it comes down to beating teams in and around us, which we haven't done often enough this season.

"We come here today with real confidence.

"It would be incredible [to finish in the top six for a third year in succession]. When we consider we hadn't been in there for 40 years, the expectation levels have gone way, way above and beyond what they should do but we have to meet those levels."

  2. 'Everything is positive' for Wimmer's winnerspublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time

    Motherwell v St Mirren (15:00)

Motherwell manager Michael Wimmer tells BBC Scotland: "There is a good mood because of the win against Rangers, but also the performance from the guys in training.

"Everything is positive but we have to stay calm.

"We are now in a good position. If we do our job and perform well, top six is in our own hands.

"Lennon Miller and Kai Andrews are training well, good talents and not only talented, but working hard. Their international call-ups are very positive for the club - if we stay together and work together, everything is possible."

The Edinburgh side were dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Celtic last time out but have a 13-match unbeaten run to protect in the Premiership (W9 D4).

Kilmarnock have suffered three defeats in a row, last losing more in succession in the top-flight in February 2021.

  6. Hearts & County makes strides in 2025published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time

    Hearts v Ross County (15:00)

Hearts have won five of their past seven home league games (L2), having only taken maximum points from one of their first seven at Tynecastle this season (D3 L3).

After winning just four of their first 20 league games before the turn of the year (D7 L9), Ross County have won five of nine in 2025 (D1 L3).

  7. Can Hearts fend off County's 'late run'?published at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time

    Hearts v Ross County (15.00)

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Tynecastle

Victory for either side is likely to be pivotal in terms of securing a top six place.

Hearts have improved in recent weeks and are many pundits favourites for a top half finish, but can afford few slips in the next few weeks.

Ross County have come with a late run, winning three from four, and are unbeaten in their past four meetings with the Tynecastle club.

But The Staggies have only one victory in their past 17 matches against Hearts so it's clear to see why the host are favourites.

  8. Close encounter in Perth?published at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time

    St Johnstone v Aberdeen (15:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

While there may be a substantial gulf between their positions in the table, there are some similarities.

After really poor runs, both appear to have turned things round of late and both will be on a high after reaching the last four in the Scottish Cup.

There has been little between the teams on the two occasions they have met already this term, so don’t be surprised if this is another very tight affair.

With Aberdeen chasing Europe and Saints battling to avoid the drop, there is a lot on the line, although that should perhaps come with a health warning given that historically this isn’t a fixture which is known for top entertainment value.

  9. O'Donnell returns for Motherwell; St Mirren change twopublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time

    Motherwell v St Mirren (15:00)

Kofi Balmer is among the subs, while Luke Armstrong, who scored in Motherwell's Ibrox victory last time out, is missing.

St Mirren are without injured striker Mikael Mandron, with Richard Taylor benched for the trip to Lanarkshire.

Just one swap for St Johnstone following their Scottish Cup victory over Livingston. Drey Wright is in for Jonathan Svedberg.

Visiting manager Jimmy Thelin has also made one change from their cup success against Queen's Park last weekend.

Jack MacKenzie replaces Leighton Clarkson. Ester Sokler, who hasn't featured since January, is fit enough to make the bench.

  12. Trio of changes each for Killie and Hibspublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time

    Kilmarnock v Hibernian (15:00)

Hibernian head coach David Gray makes three changes to the side that exited the Scottish Cup last weekend against Celtic.

Midfield duo of Nathan Moriah-Welsh and Josh Campbell drop to the bench, with injured wing-back Nicky Cadden absent. Junior Hoilett, Jordan Obita and Dylan Levitt are the men coming in.

Derek McInnes and his Kilmarnock side had a weekend off to regroup and get ready for the run-in, with the manager also opting for a trio of swaps.

David Watson, Liam Donnelly, and Bruce Anderson all start on the bench with Danny Armstrong and Bobby Wales drafted in, alongside Matty Kennedy, who makes his first start since November.

  18. Big day for pack chasing top sixpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time

It looks like there may be just one place in the top six up for grabs as the split looms and there could be a few significant moves today.

Motherwell sit sixth but are only three points better off than St Mirren in ninth, who are the visitors at Fir Park.

Hearts and Ross County are seventh and eight respectively, with just one point between them before kick-off at Tynecastle.

In their scrap for third, Hibs and Aberdeen go up against sides in survival mode.

St Johnstone are bottom of the pile but, if they can beat the Dons in Perth, they would go level with Dundee in the relegation play-off spot. Meanwhile, Kilmarnock, who host Hibs, are uncomfortably close to that play-off position.
