Raith Rovers ended the season with a convincing victory over Queen's Park but fell short of a promotion play-off place despite an unbeaten run of 10 games.

The Kirkcaldy side had to win and hope Partick Thistle lost to overtake the Glasgow side into fourth place, but the Firhill side won 1-0 away to title hopefuls Livingston.

Rovers broke the deadlock four minutes before the break when Lewis Vaughan's shot deflected into the path of Callum Fordyce and the centre-back fired home.

Striker Vaughan extended the lead three minutes later from the penalty spot.

Sebastian Drozd pulled one back five minutes after the break, the winger gathering a long ball and volleying home.

Vaughan restored the two-goal advantage just short of the hour mark when he stole the ball from goalkeeper Milosz Sliwinski, rounded the 17-year-old and tapped in his second of the night.

Midfielder Dylan Easton fired the fourth from penalty spot 74 minutes, with substitute forward Aiden Marsh breaking through to add the finishing touch with six minutes remaining.

While Rovers stay fifth, Queen's Park end the season third bottom and after a dismal 12-game run without a victory.
