Three second-half goals secured a convincing victory over Queen's Park for Arbroath - their first since being promoted back to the Scottish Championship.

Returning Spiders winger Aidan Connolly forced a couple of saves from Arbroath goalkeeper Aidan McAdams, while Harry Cochrane was denied by Callum Ferrie at the other end in an even first half.

But Ross Callachan broke the deadlock with a free-kick four minutes after the break, the midfielder's first on his return to the club.

Ryan Dow's clip to the back post was headed home by Findlay Marshall three minutes later and Jack Wilkie's free-kick looked to secure the points.

Josh Fowler fired in off a post with eight minutes remaining, but it was too late to prevent Arbroath ending a run of four straight away defeats.
