The French forward, 27, was treated on the pitch and given oxygen before being taken to an ambulance and was set to undergo surgery on his ear in hospital.

Bournemouth had a plan, looked really composed on the ball and looked like they could execute at any time.

Although it felt like Bournemouth were on top for the most part in the first half, the stats are pretty even.

Both sides had six shots in the game with two on target.

Wolves did, however, have a 30-minute spell without attempting a shot.

There were seven minutes between the goal hitting the back of the net and it being ruled out for offside.

Nelson Semedo curls one in for Matheus Cunha but his header is easily gathered by Kepa.

Michael: Clear and obvious, that was the mandate when VAR came in, if it takes longer than 60 seconds then it's not. There should be a 60 second timer and if no decision is made in that time, the on-field decision should stand.

What a huge let off for Wolves, they were torn apart.

Thankfully, this one is pretty straightforward.

It's good work from Bournemouth but the ball hits Alex Scott's hand before he taps home. It's pretty blatant and was thankfully seen by the referee.

Bournemouth have the ball in the back of the net once again but it's immediately ruled out by the referee for a handball.

Not another one.

I've never been in a stadium where both sets of supporters fume over a VAR check.

This is also the longest VAR check I've ever seen as we went well past the five-minute mark.

It could well have been the longest VAR check in English football history as both sets of supporters chant "it's not football anymore" and "this is embarrassing".

It seems neither set of fans were happy despite Wolves benefiting from the decision as both teams had to warm up again.

Of course, Wolves fans will be relieved that the goal has been ruled out but surely even they can agree that that was pretty silly.

The goal has finally been ruled out for offside.

That was pretty painful. The crowd are understandably frustrated.

The FA's website says that semi-automated offsides should take approximately 30 seconds. As previously mentioned, it's not working. But still.

It's been way more than five minutes since the goal went in.

A farce.
