United played that first half way too nervously. That said, they should have equalised and arguably could have had a penalty. Game management on the other hand has been none existent, they just needed to keep the ball and be solid tonight.

  2. Fiorentina draw level on aggregate having been two goals behindpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 8 May

Fiorentina 2-1 Real Betis (agg 3-3)

All square overall in Florence. Real Betis led 3-1 on aggregate and 1-0 on the night, but two headed goals from Fiorentina's Robin Gosens, the second of which came three minutes before half-time, has left it 3-3 overall.

Gosens' second goal came moments after Johnny Cardoso had hit the crossbar for Real Betis, who had earlier scored first when Antony's superb free-kick went in off the inside of the post.

If there are no further goals then the Conference League semi-final will be heading to extra-time.

Garnacho, through on target - high percentile, but his finishing remains in the low percentile . This is why we need a consistent finisher, like an Osimhen or Gyokeres!

So then, as things stand, it will be Manchester United v Tottenham in the Europa League final.

A lot can change in 45 minutes though.

Job three quarters done for Tottenham. There was a noticeable lull in the atmosphere at the end of the first half, which will only help Spurs. The hosts have struggled to create and Tottenham will be content enough so far.

    Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Tottenham (agg 1-3)

The Spurs corner swings out to Yves Bissouma on the edge of the box but he lashes one well over as the first half comes to a close.

Job well done for Spurs so far.

Manchester United still have a two-goal cushion in their bid to reach the Europa League final. But it's not feeling anywhere near as comfortable as it was.

    Chelsea 1-0 Djurgarden (agg 5-1)

No stoppage time as the referee blows his whistle bang on 45 minutes.

Chelsea are even further ahead in the tie thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's strike.

A Europa Conference League final beckons.

About time Utd faced 11 men. The last few rounds have all been false results.

  11. Swedish fans won't stop singingpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 8 May

    Chelsea 1-0 Djurgarden

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Djurgarden may now be 5-1 down but there is still immense pride among the 6,000 travelling Swedish supporters.

They are losing badly but have chanted "owned by your members, you will never sing that" at Chelsea's home fans.

It's a quirk of this competition that a club owned by US billionaires is taking on one from a league which stipulates each club should have 51 percent of the ownership with the fans. It has led to a very one-sided semi-final here, though.

  12. Garnacho wasted chancepublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 8 May

Man Utd 0-1 Athletic Bilbao (Agg: 1-3)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

The biggest flaw in Alejandro Garnacho's game is that he does not take enough of the chances that come his way.

It is stopping the Argentina wide-man taking the next step in his career.

In fairness, he is brave enough to keep trying and getting into the right positions and making the right runs. But he has to have better execution.

    Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Tottenham (agg 1-3)

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the Aspmyra Stadion

When they have had the opportunity, Tottenham's deliveries into the box have been poor. There's little urgency from them, as you would expect, and they've managed the first half well but what final ball they have had has been disappointing.

    Chelsea 1-0 Djurgarden (agg 5-1)

Tyrique George tries to increase Chelsea's advantage but his shot is blocked.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall then gets a shot away from the edge of the box which sails over the bar.

With this being played on a 4G pitch, I wonder if the players have loads of those annoying little rubber bits down their socks yet.

Pedro Porro takes the loose ball and sprints down the pitch. He lifts a ball to the back post for Richarlison but the attack breaks down.

    Chelsea 1-0 Djurgarden (agg 5-1)

Keita Kosugi shoots from the edge of the box and it deflects off Benoit Badiashile but Filip Jorgensen had watched it all the way and makes the save.

  20. 'Garnacho has to score'published at 20:44 British Summer Time 8 May

Man Utd 0-1 Athletic Bilbao (agg 3-1)

    Izzy Christiansen
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Wow. The run is exceptional from Garnacho and the pass is even better from Dorgu.

He goes one on one and looks for the little dink but he has to score.
