Jadon Sancho opened the scoring and Noni Madueke got the second before a double from substitute Nicolas Jackson after the break.

It ended 4-1 as Isak Alemayehu got a goal back for the hosts.

One player who will be missed for Spurs tonight is James Maddison after his season was prematurely ended after picking up a knee injury.

For boss Ange Postecolgou, it's just another challenge for his side to overcome.

"He has been a big part of the latter part of our season - a big catalyst for us. That has been a constant, dealing with [injuries] and overcoming them."

  6. Man Utd aiming for European trophy number sixpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 8 May

Man Utd v Athletic Bilbao (20:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Manchester United have made the overall aim clear on the front of their match programme tonight.

As head coach Ruben Amorim said in his press conference yesterday, the challenge is not to reach the Europa League final tonight, it is to win it in Bilbao later this month.

Their task this evening is straightforward. Don't become the first side in 134 in UEFA competition to win an away leg by at least three goals and get knocked out on home soil.

Anyone who saw United almost lose to Championship side Coventry in last season's FA Cup semi-final after leading by three goals with 20 minutes remaining will realise nothing is impossible for this United team.

Amorim is wisely calling for extra support from the stands at Old Trafford.

"We cannot take anything for granted," he said.

"Let's all pull together for one last push to secure our place back in the final in Bilbao."
