    Leicester v Arsenal (12:00 GMT)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Renee Slegers, speaking pre-match: "A couple of players coming back from international break with knocks, illness, a couple of players are not available, that's why we have this squad. We have so much quality in the squad."

On playing after Chelsea and Man City both won: "Whenever they play and whenever we play that's out of our control. We've had a two day lead in, really hard work we've done from a football perspective, but also some work off the pitch and a very productive day. It's good to have everyone back together and I feel a good energy in the group to get this block started.

"Leicester has done well in the league. You can see there's a couple of draws and one goal difference results. They will try to make it very hard for us."

  5. A first win for Liverpool? FM26 predicts WSL gamespublished at 11:37 GMT 2 November

The new Football Manager computer game is released next week and, for the first time since the series began in 1992 (with the original Championship Manager), it allows people to manage men's and women's teams.

There are more than 36,000 female players in the FM26 database, all with a set of detailed physical, mental or skill attributes based on their real-life abilities, that have been researched by a global scouting network.

The FM26 game engine is taking on Chris Sutton to predict this weekend's men's Premier League fixtures, and has also played out the Women's Super League games on Saturday and Sunday.

It thinks Liverpool will get their first WSL win of the season against Tottenham, and has gone for Aston Villa to beat Everton, Arsenal to get the better of Leicester and Brighton to draw with Manchester United, with all the goalscorers in every game included too.

FM26 was right about the outcome of both of Saturday's games, correctly backing Chelsea and Manchester City to win, but will it be as accurate today?

Arsenal boss Renee Slegers says her side understand their responsibilities and know what they need to do after a mixed start to the season.

Last season's Champions League winners were expected to fight for the Women's Super League title this term, but find themselves five points behind leaders Chelsea after winning just one of their last four league games.

"We know what we are capable of. Looking back at block one, results were very mixed and not what we wanted, the same with performances," Slegers said in her pre-match news conference.

"We want to look forwards and get the best out of ourselves. Football will never be perfect, but we want to show our strengths as a team and on the ball, because we have a really good technical and intelligent team."

Sunday's trip to Leicester will be the first of five games in three weeks for Arsenal, with a home clash against Chelsea next weekend followed by Champions League tests against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid either side of a North London derby against Tottenham.

Park, who scored two goals in United's last league match as a substitute, has made an impressive start since joining the club from rivals Man City in the summer.

"[She has] awoken players around her," he said. "She adds another skill set that brings out the best in others.

"Look at the way Tooney started the season, her and Jess have a special relationship, they come to life together. They are incredibly creative players.

Chelsea continue to top the Women's Super League table, maintaining a one-point lead by beating London City yesterday.

West Ham, who lost to Manchester City yesterday, remain rooted to the foot of the division, while Liverpool – who face Tottenham this afternoon – continue their search for their first point.

Arsenal are eight points off the top, but reduce the gap back to five points with a win today. Manchester United would move to two points behind Chelsea with victory at Brighton.

  10. Bompastor backs 'class' Hamptonpublished at 11:29 GMT 2 November

After Chelsea's win over London City Lionesses yesterday, Blues boss Sonia Bompastor said Hannah Hampton has shown "class" in response to Mary Earps' comments about her.

Bompastor also criticised a lack of respect for England manager Sarina Wiegman, after Earps questioned her decision to make Hampton her number one at Euro 2025.

"With what I read in terms of the comments coming from Mary Earps, it's not acceptable to not show respect to your team-mates or managers," said Bompastor.

"We are talking about Hannah, but also I want to raise my voice for Sarina [Wiegman]. When you use some words about someone who won the Euros three times in a row, you should probably think about it before you speak.

"If you look at what Hannah said in her previous comments about Mary Earps, then what Mary is saying about her now - one of them is class, and Hannah is the class one."

When Hannah Hampton was handed the starting spot as England's goalkeeper, Mary Earps said it "felt unjust".

"It was a choice that went against my core values. The affinity I had for Sarina and this job - one I'd given every last cell of myself to - was being destroyed, the trust and respect evaporating."

  19. Wiegman rewarded Hampton's 'bad behaviour' - Earpspublished at 11:14 GMT 2 November

On Friday evening, the Guardian, external released extracts from Mary Earps' new autobiography 'All in'.

In those extracts, the former England goalkeeper claimed she told Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman she was rewarding "bad behaviour" when Hannah Hampton was recalled to the squad after previously being dropped for being "disruptive and unreliable".

After Euro 2022, Hampton was dropped from the England squad - reportedly because of a poor attitude.

Wiegman picked her again in early 2023 - eventually leading to Hampton becoming first choice for Euro 2025 in Switzerland, where the Lionesses retained their title with the Chelsea keeper playing a crucial role.
