What Grimsby have got to be careful of is when they're of possession. They need to make sure to get back into their defensive positions. Brentford have the quality to hurt them.

What a moment that is for Cauley Woodrow against his former club.

The Wycombe fans absolutely loved that.

    What a hit!

Incredible start for the League One side as Cauley Woodrow comes inside on his first touch and powers a right-footed effort from about 20 yards into the bottom corner.

Work for Fulham to do now.

Even in these first couple of minutes Grimsby have gone out to the right-hand-side, got a throw-in, and they want to stick it in the box. I think that's the way forward.

Lovely stuff from Wycombe as Cauley Woodrow squares it across the box but Timothy Castagne manages to turn it behind for a corner.

Keith Andrews speaks really well. He was meticulous in everything that he did. I spoke to him last season and he wanted to do more [than being a set-piece coach]. I think it was a stepping stone for him being around the environment. Keith has come in and steadied the ship and winning games always helps.

Many, including me, thought Brentford would seriously struggle without Thomas Frank at the helm but they have adjusted to life under Keith Andrews brilliantly.

They come into this Carabao Cup last 16 tie having toppled Premier League champions Liverpool on Saturday.

Wayne Brightmore, who works for Wil-Tech Electrical Services in Grimsby, said it had been "an amazing season so far".

He said the club beating Manchester United was "the best night" of his life.

Mr Brightmore, a lifelong supporter and chairman of the Mariners Trust, said, when he walks around the town, he can see more Grimsby tops than ever before.

"Around the town, on social media, anywhere you go, people now have heard of Grimsby Town," he added.

  14. Cardiff's two aims heading to Wrexhampublished at 19:41 GMT 28 October

    Wrexham v Cardiff (20:00 GMT)

Cardiff City have two aims in the EFL Cup fourth round at Wrexham on Tuesday - beating their Welsh rivals and proving they can compete at Championship level.

The Bluebirds and Wrexham swapped divisions for this season with the Welsh capital side relegated to League One while their north Wales opponents rose to the second tier of English football.

Cardiff have been revitalised by the drop and remain top of League One despite losing to Bolton Wanderers in the league on Saturday while Wrexham lie 16th in the Championship under Phil Parkinson following their 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough at the weekend.

It makes for an intriguing build-up to an encounter so rare they last faced each other 21 years ago.

The prospect has stirred excitement among both fanbases, prompting Cardiff boss Brian Barry-Murphy to pledge taking his strongest side to the Stok Cae Ras.

He says that after speaking to supporters he was "left in no doubt whatsoever" about what this game means to them.

"This is a tie where the whole club is really excited and we're going to take not as many fans as we expect because of the limited number of tickets, but a huge swell of support to go and compete against a team from the same country. It's very exciting."

Barry-Murphy acknowledged Wrexham's quality, saying: "They're experienced, full of players who've competed at high levels, and they've invested well.

"But we believe we can compete with Championship-level teams. Tuesday is our chance to prove it - and that's exactly what we intend to do."

    Brentford

Despite beating Premier League champion Liverpool on Saturday, Brentford boss Keith Andrews isn't taking anything for granted against League Two Grimsby Town.

"To get to this point in the competition is significant for them. They have achieved a lot this season and are a very well-coached team. We have to be very respectful of them but we will be ready.

"We've got a humble group and a hungry group that want to achieve and really wouldn't underestimate any opposition."

Mathias Jensen coming into the group - I know he will have been frustrated at not being in the Premier League side.

Keane Lewis-Potter played every game last year has not had a look in - he will look to make a statement.

Then the likes of Rico Lewis, my first season at Brentford, he was one of our best players, but he has been unlucky with injuries.

Benjamin Arthur, really young lad and they think highly of him.

  19. 'We going to go after it'published at 19:37 GMT 28 October

    Wycombe v Fulham (19:45 GMT)

    Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe chairman Dan Rice, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "The players are fully prepared. We have hit a good run of form, so tonight is a good night to go and prove that against a Premier League team.

"We had a real plan in the summer to go make the squad younger and make us more dynamic. The results in the league have shown that. We have some younger players being played into the squad, so we're in a really good place.

I'm a Wycombe fan, there seems to be a weird sense of optimism among fans. Not entirely sure where that has come from. Getting better in League 1 under Duff, but Premier League opponents....we can dream, I guess.
