Match Facts

  • All four meetings between Club Brugge and Juventus to date have come in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, with the Italian side winning three of those four clashes (L1). Indeed, they won home and away the last time these two sides featured in the same edition (2-1 away and 1-0 at home in 2005-06).

  • Club Brugge won their first three games against Italian sides in major European competition, all three of which came in the 1975-76 UEFA Cup. However, since then, they have only won two of their 20 such fixtures (D6 L12), going winless in each of the last 14.

  • The last time a Belgian side won against Italian opposition in the UEFA Champions League was in October 2003 (Club Brugge 1-0 Milan). Since then, the Italian sides have gone unbeaten in 14 such matches, with 10 of those ending in victories (D4).

  • Club Brugge have won three of six UEFA Champions League games this season (D1 L2). In only one European Cup campaign have they won more, winning five in 1977-78 as they reached the final, only to lose to Liverpool.

  • Juventus have kept clean sheets in each of their last two UEFA Champions League matches, more than they’d managed in their previous 15 combined (1). They last had three in a row in September/October 2021.

  • Two of the last three UEFA Champions League goals scored by Club Brugge have been own goals, having only benefited from own goals in two of their first 66 games. The only side to benefit from an own goal in three games in a row was Internazionale in October 2002.

  • Juventus’ first two UEFA Champions League goals this season were scored in the first half but their last seven have all come after the break. Their conversion rate is 14% better in the second half of matches (20%) compared to the first (6%).

  • 19-year-old Kenan Yildiz this season is the first Juventus player to both score and assist in the UEFA Champions League as a teenager. His 22 dribbles are the third-most by a teenager in the competition this season, behind Lamine Yamal (34) and Antonio Nusa (25).

  • Club Brugge’s Joel Ordóñez is one of only two players aged under-21 to have played every minute in the UEFA Champions League this season, along with Manchester City’s Rico Lewis (540).

  • Dusan Vlahovic has been involved in eight goals in 12 UEFA Champions League appearances for Juventus (6 goals, 2 assists). Only two players have reached 10+ goals/assists combined in 13 or fewer games for the club, with David Trezeguet in 2001 (11) and Zinedine Zidane in 1997 (12) doing so.
