He's already buzzing up and down the Rangers right flank, annoying full-back James Tavernier and winning an early corner. But Daizen Maeda'a hair, anyone? He was shaved bald, then he grew out blonde highlights. Is it grey today? Flecks of black and white?

  7. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rangers

Referee Willie Collum thinks about it but keeps his yellow card in his pocket as Mohamed Diomande upends Celtic captain Callum McGregor in the centre circle.

I don't think Jack Butland was getting to that if it was on target.

    Inches past the post.

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

Rangers are struggling to keep Celtic out in these opening minutes.

The stadium is already rocking, the decibel level off the charts.

It's exactly the high-energy kind of start home boss Brendan Rodgers wanted.

  11. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rangers

James Forrest is busy again, letting fly from a central position.

Jack Butland tips it over and nothing comes off the corner kick.

That was a big opportunity for Rangers.

Really good play from the visitors to get into the position.

  13. Postpublished at 5 mins

Hang on, here come Rangers and Dujon Sterling should really do better as he steams in at the back post to meet a long, diagonal cross from Fabio Silva.

Liam Scales is on hand to clear up inside the six yard box.

I don't know how much Jack Butland knew about that.

    Somehow, the goalkeeper stops it.

    What a start.

  18. 'Fascinating midfield battle'published at 12:30 British Summer Time 11 May

    Celtic v Rangers (12:30)

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Daizen Maeda coming back in is a big boost for Celtic because he'll pin James Tavernier back.

Will he last the full game? I'm not sure.

The middle of the pitch will be fascinating because that's a really good Celtic midfield. I'm not sure John Lundstram and Mohamed Diomande will be able to handle them.

  19. Celtic fans show colourspublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 11 May

    Celtic v Rangers (12:30)

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

A huge tifo has just been unfurled in the corner of the ground housing Celtic's 'ultras', the Green Brigade. It spans both tiers of the stadium. The words read: 'We Will Be Your Strength. Fear Nothing'.

How big an advantage will the 60,000 be for the home side, as the arena explodes in noise as the teams walk out of the tunnel?

    This will not be dull.

  20. 'Cantwell on bench right choice'published at 12:27 British Summer Time 11 May

We asked Rangers what they made of their starting line-up. Here's a taste of what a couple had to say:

Dave: Philippe Clement has not a lot off players to pick from. He’s made the right choice putting Todd Cantwell on bench

Anon: Rangers need to turn up and play with heart, drive, tempered aggression and belief. There’s no fat lady singing yet!
