  4. 'We need to learn how to win games'published at 15:12 British Summer Time 4 May

    FT: Everton 2-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn speaking to Sky Sports: "Except the first 15 minutes I think we were extremely good in possession and created a lot of chances. On the other hand when you are 2-0 down quite early, coming back to 2-2 is ok but we need to learn how to win games and we should have won today."

On the slow start from Spurs: "It’s interesting because in the first minute it’s good and we pushed them down, then we made a mistake and gave the ball away when we wanted to go for a counter-attack. We need to look at that, then it’s a good finish from the set piece after that. That’s one of the things we need to fix in the last games and the final. I’m quite pleased and proud of how we played but we want to win more games."

On Drew Spence: "It’s bery psychological to go in 2-1 and not 2-0. It was a nice goal to have. Drew is probably the smartest player in this team and finds ways to get us back with really good chances. She’s a brilliant player."

On the FA Cup final: "It's going to be the best week, it's going to be so good. We're going to enjoy it and go to try and win the title for Tottenham."

  5. 'I'm very sad with the second half'published at 15:09 British Summer Time 4 May

    FT: Everton 2-2 Tottenham

    Everton

Everton boss Brian Sorensen speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we were lucky in the second half that we didn’t concede more. We were 2-0 up and gave them two goals. That kickstarted their energy and we got deflated.

"I’m very sad with the second half. First half we looked good, we created a lot of chances. The referee standard is not very good today. Many times they don’t protect the players when they get frustrated. That’s why you need to nip it in the bud so it doesn’t escalate. Unfortunately we got a bit carried away but in the end we are happy we got the 2-2."

On the positive first half: "We stuck to the plan, we were calm. Nothing we worked on the second half was there at all unfortunately."

On his message before the final game: "We want to win that one for sure and see if we can get a bit higher in the table."

    FT: Everton 2-2 Tottenham

Before we take a look at the table we've heard from both Brian Sorensen and Robert Vilahamn after their sides shared the spoils at Walton Hall Park in the early kick off.

Both seemed a little disappointed to have not take all three points from a well fought contest.

    Brighton 0-1 Aston Villa

Villa take all three points in Carla Ward's second to last game in charge, confirming a seventh placed finish for the season.

A second goal in as many games for Alisha Lehmann proving the difference in a game short of quality in both penalty areas.

Brighton lose once more at home, their fifth in a row in the league.

Great play from Katie Robinson down the Brighton left hand side.

It was a brilliant mazey run past several Villa defenders but her cross through the six yard box was wasted as none of her Seagulls teammates could keep pace with her in attack.
