Match Facts
This will be the first league meeting between Fleetwood Town and Oldham Athletic since a 2-1 win for the Cod Army at Boundary Park on Boxing Day 2017 in League One.
Fleetwood Town lost 4-1 to Crewe Alexandra in midweek at Highbury Stadium, last losing back-to-back home league matches in January 2024 (3 in a row), and last doing so in League Two in April 2013.
Oldham Athletic are the first newly promoted team to fail to win any of their opening four League Two games in a campaign (D3 L1) since Sutton United in 2021-22 (D2 L2), and are winless in their last 10 Football League matches (D4 L6).
Fleetwood manager Pete Wild has won only one of his three managerial meetings with Oldham’s Micky Mellon in the Football League (L2), with that victory actually coming with Oldham Athletic against Mellon’s Tranmere in April 2019.
