The loan spell [at Tottenham] last year was crucial for Grace Clinton, helping her to gain that experience at the top level and learn how to do both sides of the game.

Now she not only does her defensive work but she is box to box, making those runs forward.

For me she has been one of the best midfielders in the league so far this season and could potentially be huge for England at next summer's Euros.

On if she would like the role permanently: "Again that is not on my mind, really. I want to focus on the football and help the team as much as I can in the role that I am in at the moment."

This is a huge game for Arsenal, they need to get back to winning ways and get that confidence and momentum.

Manchester United boss Marc Skinner speaking to BBC Sport: "I think it is fair to say that [United will know where they are at after this game]. We know Arsenal's pedigree, the fantastic squad that they have and it will be a very difficult game.

"We are at home in front of our own fans and we need to make it extremely difficult for them, and make it a tough place to come as everyone tends to find.

"We are expecting a really competitive game and one we have to wrestle away from them. In different moments momentum will change and things will need to adapt and we have to be ready for all of it."

On if it is the perfect time to face Arsenal: "Some would say that yes. I would say that Arsenal are a threat regardless of what is happening with their situation at the minute. Renee has come in and she will do a fantastic job I'm sure.

"They still have a wonderful squad and team. You don't know how they will react, they could be energised. We have to match them and go beyond it."

On his 100th game in charge: "I am very proud, very proud to represent the fantastic club with the fans we have. I want to make it to another 100 and keep producing. This is the best club in the world and I want to make sure that I give our fans the best experiences and win stuff for them of course."

It's expected to be a busy crowd here at Leigh Sports Village with Arsenal bringing large numbers with them.

Around 1,200 are expected to be here representing the Arsenal fanbase, while Manchester United's loyal supporters were stood outside the stadium ready to welcome the players over three hours before kick-off.

It was an international break full of mixed emotions for England captain Leah Williamson.

Williamson had a tough week after facing scrutiny for her performance against Germany, with calls growing for in-form Manchester City defender Alex Greenwood to start instead.

Against South Africa, Williamson marked her 50th appearance with a goal, but it was her error that led to South Africa's goal.

Former Arsenal team-mate Jen Beattie said the errors have been "out of character" for Williamson, and it has been "forgotten" how incredible she has been for England.

The table shows that this is a huge game for the Gunners to try and get their season back on track.

Lose, and they'll be five points behind Manchester United despite having played a game more, while Manchester City and Chelsea could pull even further away at the top of the WSL.

It's a big game for Manchester United, who hope to continue their unbeaten start in a first meeting of the season with one of their traditional top three rivals.

They have won three of their first four WSL matches, conceding just one goal, which came in a frustrating 1-1 draw with Brighton.

This will be another test against Arsenal, who have endured a tricky few weeks with the departure of former manager Jonas Eidevall.

There's a feeling from those at Arsenal that the international break came at a good time.

Interim manager Renee Slegers insisted the squad felt refreshed and are ready for the challenge when she spoke to media this week.

She has been told she will oversee the next five games and was bold, saying they want to win all five and are capable of doing so.
