  4. Robinson bemused by red card decisionpublished at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

FT: Dundee United 2-0 St Mirrren

Watch out for some intense scrutiny of St Mirren centre-half Marcus Fraser's sending off on Sportscene's Scottish Premiership highlights show at 19:15 on BBC Scotland.

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson says the game is "in trouble" if people think it was the correct decision.

"I don't agree with that decision," said Robinson. "I've seen that footage back. There's minimal contact.

"It was debatable whether it was even a penalty. I think Dundee United didn't feel it was a penalty either. So to have a red card and now lose a player because of it, it's a hard one to take.

"But we're not in control of the referee's decisions or VAR decisions more to the point. We can control our final third decisions.

"We have to be a little bit more ruthless in that final third and that's the things we'll keep working on."

  5. Cowie recognises 'massive gap' with Celticpublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Ross County

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "I've been in that scenario as a player, I recognise the challenges, you feel like you can't breathe and the pressure becomes too much.

"I wouldn't have liked to have conceded from a set play at 0-0. They can open you up at any time, but at set plays you don't want to concede. You've got to stand up to that and make sure you get first contact.

"It's a massive gap. It's about realism and recognising that, but it doesn't mean you don't face the challenge face on and give the best version of yourself."

  6. Goodwin 'delighted' with home winpublished at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

FT: Dundee United 2-0 St Mirren

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: “We're really pleased to win the game, obviously, another important three points, clean sheet and a really good victory against a very difficult opponent.

"I think, in terms of the game as a whole, it was quite a scrappy game. You know what you're going to get with St Mirren - they're going to ask questions of you defensively.

"We didn't play particularly well. I don't think either team played particularly well, but it was it was just about grinding out the result."

  7. 'One of our worst performances' - Kettlewellpublished at 17:52 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Motherwell 0-3 Hibernian

Motherwell manage Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "Very simply, we didn't see it coming.

"We lost last week and there was a lot of elements that I wasn't pleased with, but I never seen that nature of performance, that naivety.

"Again, we've conceded three amateurish goals and we didn't carry a threat at all at the top end of the pitch.

"That goes up there as arguably one of the worst performances and worst reactions to going behind in a game of football.

"Every single one of us came up short on the non-negotiables."

  8. Postpublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Kilmarnock 1-1 Dundee

Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "We were the better team. We were a bit slow out the traps - Dundee started much better than us. They played percentages, got it in channels and we never really got going in that first 10 or 15 minutes.

"Once the first half played out, we carved a few opportunities, got more of a sense of what we were looking for. We spoke at half time about what we had worked on and we played in a different gear second half."

  9. 'A good point' for Dundee - Dochertypublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Kilmarnock 1-1 Dundee

Dundee manager Tony Docherty tells BBC Scotland: "It was a good point for us away from home. One of the most difficult fixtures in this league is Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

"I'm disappointed, after leading 1-0, to concede a goal. We'll pick through the bones of that. We can defend that better, but it's a decent result."

Docherty picked out midfielder Oluwaseun Adewumi for praise saying "the real quality I had in my team" was bringing him on as "his contribution was fantastic".

  10. Gray praise for goalkeeperpublished at 17:47 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Motherwell 0-3 Hibernian

Hibs goalkeeper Jordan Smith has received some fan criticism but earned praise from David Gray for his performance against Motherwell.

"I hardly recognised the goalkeeper, anything he was asked to do, he did nice and clean," the head coach says.

"I've always shown faith in the goalkeepers. There's been so much criticism, but Jordan used his experience today."

  11. 'Tuesday was a turning point' - Graypublished at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Motherwell 0-3 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland the midweek draw with Aberdeen proved crucial as his side eased to victory at Fir Park.

"The challenge was to use Tuesday and the momentum from that as a turning point in the season," he says.

"I thought the players were excellent. You don't always get what you deserve in football, but we did today.

"The clean sheet is great. We take a lot of pride from that and confidence and belief going forward.

"The difference of a goal in the last minute against Aberdeen is amazing," he adds. "You see the difference in the mindset going for you rather than against you. Too many times we've been on the receiving end of that."

  12. McCowan got his reward - Rodgerspublished at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Ross County

Brendan Rodgers is full of praise for Luke McCowan, who impressed in midfield and scored after being handed a rare start.

"He's really settled in well," the Celtic manager says of the player signed from Dundee this summer. "He's had to be patient. He gets his reward for how hard he works.

"It tells you everything about him that he comes in and for 70-odd minutes he's so good, his pressing, energy and quality."

  13. 'Complete performance' from Celtic - Rodgerspublished at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Ross County

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "I thought it was a complete performance. I said we didn't want to wait on the game and I thought we were outstanding on that front.

"In the second half, we could've had the same, but you have to give credit to Ross County. For a complete 90 minutes, that was so good on the back of a tough Champions League game in midweek.

"All the guys who came in can be called starters. We need that competition and energy because we put so much into the games."

    FT: Motherwell 0-3 Hibernian

At the bottom of the table, Hibs are off it - easing the pressure on head coach David Gray.
