Rochdale's National League fixture against Scunthorpe United on Tuesday has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The game, between the league leaders and second-placed side, was postponed following two inspections at the Crown Oil Arena.

The decision was taken with "the forecast rainfall in mind" and based on the shared opinion that affected areas of the pitch would not dry sufficiently before kick-off.

In a joint statement, the two clubs apologised to supporters for any inconvenience and said a rearranged date for the fixture would be announced in due course.

Dale lead the National League after 14 games played and are a point ahead of Scunthorpe with two games in hand.
