Two changes for Queen's Park from the side that lost 2-1 to the Championship's bottom side Airdrieonians last weekend.

Right-back Adam Devine, on loan from Rangers, misses out and is replaced by 19-year-old Zach Mauchin.

January signing Kyle Hurst, on loan from Doncaster Rovers, comes straight into the side to replace Seb Drozd.

Adam Montgomery, who joined recently on loan from Celtic, takes up a place on the bench.

Queen's Park manager Callum Davidson tells BBC Scotland: "For a club like Queen's Park to draw Rangers, it's a huge achievement for us. We won a couple of really hard ties to get here.

"It's going to be a really tough game, we know that, but we'll give it a go.

"In cup games you always have to have a good balance between attacking and defending. It's about trying to make the game as difficult as possible and frustrate them. We're going to give it everything we've got.

"You've got to always try and stay positive. We've spoken long and hard this week about what we should do. Whether we can carry it out or not is a different story."

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "It was the beginning of November when we last had a week [with no game]. We used it well, we have several players coming back from injury.

"I want [Fernandes] to get used to the Scottish game, it's different to Portugal and France. He's physical, and fast, and has technical qualities to build from the back. I wanted to couple him with an experienced player.

"I don't know any 18-year-olds who've been at Rangers playing every week. It's really fast. The evolution of Bailey is very positive. He's on the right track and I'm very sure he's going to become an important Rangers player."

That was exactly what Aberdeen needed, and the timing of Pape Gueye’s opener always looked like it would be crucial in the outcome of the tie.

The Senegalese striker’s notched his first goal since September, Alexander Jensen’s looking a brilliant addition and Kevin Nisbet eventually accepted the chance of a confidence boost. Those are three positives for Jimmy Thelin.

But a massive plus for me was Sivert Heltne Nilsen. Played for 68 minutes and was so influential in defensive and attacking play. His absence was noticeable in the final 20 minutes.

Aberdeen secure passage to the quarter-finals with a relatively simple victory over Championship side Dunfermline.

Papa Gueye's goal on the brink of half-time eventually settled the nerves, and Alexander Jensen's goal a few minutes into the second-half almost killed the tie off.

Dunfermline saw a glimmer of light when they were awarded a penalty, but VAR ruled it out as the foul was outside the box and Kevin Nisbet then killed off any hope when he tapped in a third.

That was inches away from being a penalty. Really clumsy from the Latvian.

Yes, Dunfermline got an opportunity in the Cup to do something special, but they really have to focus on the league campaign and get themselves out of the possibility of dropping down.

They look as if they have players who can cause oppositions problems and they defended well in the first half too so it's not been a disappointing performance. Aberdeen have just been better.

Fletcher Boyd is on for Papa Gueye. The youngster turned 17 just a few weeks ago and is already very highly thought of.
