Summary

  1. Postpublished at 21:34 9 April

    Stevenage 2-1 Barnsley

Barnsley's substitute striker Devante Cole tumbles inside the box when well-placed and there is certainly some debate over it.

Stevenage describe it as "fantastic defending" and Barnsley call it "huge appeals for a penalty" on their respective accounts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Can Stevenage see this one out?

It is not easy sitting watching this!

86 minutes gone, I keep looking at the clock, not easy to just relax and enjoy the last few minutes.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:33 9 April

    Mansfield 1-0 Forest Green

Christy Pym has produced an incredible double save with three minutes to go to deny firstly Emmanuel Osadebe and then sub Kyle McAllister's powerful follow-up.

Only time will tell just how vital those two blocks will be at the end of the season.

  4. Addicks back on course for 12 unbeatenpublished at 21:33 9 April

Charlton Athletic have levelled against Wigan Athletic in League One. Chuks Aneke with a header to make it 2-2 and Nathan Jones' side could be on course for a 12th game unbeaten after all.

In League Two, Doncaster Rovers are looking good for a seventh win in a row. They're now 2-0 up at home to Walsall thanks to Hakeeb Adelakun.

  5. Postpublished at 21:31 9 April

    Blackpool 1-0 Fleetwood

Attacking players Elijah Campbell and Phoenix Patterson have come on for Fleetwood as a late roll of the dice.

That penalty save by their keeper Jay Lynch could be crucial.

The Cod Army have had one shot on target in this match. Will they get an opportunity here?

  6. GOAL: Wrexham 4-0 Crawleypublished at 21:27 9 April

    Paul Mullin (82 mins)

    It certainly flatters them now...

Paul Mullin is played clean through on Corey Addai's goal by an under-hit backpass and keeps his cool (when does he not?) and slots the fourth, his 21st of the League Two season.

    Back-to-back promotions are getting closer.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:26 9 April

    Wrexham 3-0 Crawley

The scoreline probably flatters the hosts a bit and Harry Forster thought he had reduced the arrears for Crawley, only to be denied by the offside flag.

  8. Postpublished at 21:26 9 April

    Cheltenham 0-1 Carlisle

If they can hold onto their 1-0 lead, this would be just Carlisle's fourth away win of the season in League One.

Cheltenham are STILL yet to have a shot on target.

But their midfielder Liam Sercombe has just fired a good chance wide.

  9. An Athletic comebackpublished at 21:24 9 April

    #bbcefl

Two quickfire Charlie Kelman goals have put Wigan Athletic 2-1 up at Charlton Athletic, whose long unbeaten run in League One is under threat.

Play-off chasing Leyton Orient have doubled their lead against Exeter City through George Moncur.

In League Two, substitute Joe Pritchard has given Accrington Stanley a 3-1 lead at Newport County. The Welsh side are facing a fifth straight defeat.

And Crewe Alexandra have opened the scoring at Morecambe with Elliott Nevitt netting his 17th goal of the season.

  10. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 21:22 9 April

    Blackpool 1-0 Fleetwood

The same result as in Colchester!

At Bloomfield Road, Shayne Lavery's penalty is brilliantly saved by Fleetwood goalkeeper Jay Lynch.

Blackpool remain on target to close the gap to the play-offs to three points, while the visitors remain six points from safety.

Can Fleetwood capitalise in the final 12 minutes and get something out of this match?

  11. Hats off to the Hatterspublished at 21:22 9 April

    Colchester 1-2 Stockport

    Neil Kelly
    BBC Essex

Stockport are 99.99999999999% (I could go on) promoted if they beat Colchester tonight.

A fortunate first goal, and Paddy Madden in the right place at the right time for the second.

  12. PENALTY TO BLACKPOOLpublished at 21:20 9 April

    Blackpool 1-0 Fleetwood

A big opportunity for the hosts to double their lead and get closer to the play-off positions.

  13. GOAL: Wrexham 3-0 Crawleypublished at 21:20 9 April

    Andy Cannon (76 mins)

    That should be that.

Corey Addai gets down to his left deny Elliot Lee's curling strike but Andy Cannon is on hand to smash home the rebound from an angle and surely take the home side five points clear of fourth-placed MK Dons with just three games to play.

The good news for Crawley is that closest rivals Walsall are losing in their race for the play-offs.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:19 9 April

    Wrexham 2-0 Crawley

Crawley keeper Corey Addai has denied Andy Cannon a third for Wrexham by saving his bouncing half-volley.

Arthur Okonkwo had his palms stung by Ade Adeyemo at the other end just before.

  15. Postpublished at 21:18 9 April

    Stevenage 2-1 Barnsley

The benefit now for Barnsley is their strength in depth.

As the Tykes are pushing for an equalising goal, they are able to bring on their top scorer Devante Cole.

Stevenage are still working hard to extend their lead though, Aaron Pressley's latest chance has seen Barnsley goalkeeper Liam Roberts react well to meet his header at the near post.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 21:16 9 April

    Colchester 1-2 Stockport

Ben Hinchliffe has saved a penalty to keep Stockport in front with 24 minutes remaining. Cameron McGeehan smashed it down the middle but the Hatters keeper stood firm to parry away to his left.

This game has had nearly everything.

Colchester have still not scored a penalty this season.

  17. Postpublished at 21:13 9 April

    Cheltenham 0-1 Carlisle

Carlisle are continuing to threaten, despite Cheltenham boss Darrell Clarke ringing the changes.

Harrison Neal is the latest to try his luck for the Cumbrians.

His clever shot on the turn didn't quite have enough power behind it.

20 minutes to go and the Robins are still yet to have a shot on target.

It's turned in by who else but the Stockport club captain - his 14th league goal of the season.

Paddy Madden turns up in the big games in those big moments.

His 62nd for the Hatters, only three away from breaking into their top 10 goalscorers ever.

He is a predator in the six-yard area, he has made a habit of it over his career, it is a talent.

  19. GOAL: Colchester 1-2 Stockportpublished at 21:10 9 April

    Paddy Madden (61 mins)

Paddy Madden scores for StockportImage source, Rex Features

Cometh the hour... cometh the Madden.

Arthur Read had so nearly stolen the lead for Colchester seconds before but it's Stockport's talisman who has restored the leaders advantage and taken them ever closer to promotion to League One.

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans has turned a deep cross from Ethan Bristow back across goal and there is Paddy Madden to turn home his 19th of the season from close range,

  20. Colchester - Dharamshala?!published at 21:08 9 April

    Colchester 1-1 Stockport

    James Jennings
Former Stockport defender on BBC Radio Manchester

The dew has given it [the pitch] an interesting look.

    Like an Indian subcontinent wicket.
