That's all from us after an enthralling penultimate round of fixtures in Serie A.

The title race remains firmly on between leaders Napoli and second-placed Inter Milan - separated by just a point - ahead of next weekend's final fixtures.

Red cards, goals and video assistant referee drama.

What more could you ask for?

  2. Juventus, Roma and Lazio in control of European spotspublished at 22:01 British Summer Time 18 May

In terms of the European places picture the night has ended how it started.

Juventus occupy the final Champions League place, with Roma in the Europa League spot and Lazio in the Conference League berth.

Fiorentina and Bologna have lost ground, sitting three points back in 7th and 8th place heading into the final day.

Milan won't be playing in any European competition next season after a 3-1 loss to Roma.

  3. Lecce take upper hand in race to avoid droppublished at 21:58 British Summer Time 18 May

It's been a night of drama at the foot of the Serie A table and at the end of it all Lecce are the side left in control of the relegation battle.

Their 1-0 win over Torino has them in 17th place, above 18th placed Empoli on just goal difference.

Venezia aren't quite down yet, but their 3-0 loss at Cagliari means that their fate is no longer in their own hands.

As they sit two points further back in 19th spot they will need to beat Juventus on the final day and hope Empoli and Lecce simultaneously slip up.

A couple of contrasting draws but both had plenty of talking points.

Napoli manager Antonio Conte's red card means he will be suspended for their season finale against 14th-placed Cagliari in Naples.

Inter Milan head to 10th-placed Como next weekend.

Neither Cagliari or Como have anything to play for.

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

Napoli pump it long but they run out of time.

The title race is going down to the final day.

  6. Postpublished at 21:54 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

On they go in Parma, though.

We were scheduled for seven additional minutes but that lengthy VAR check means we are in the 102nd minute now and who knows how long this will run.

Philip Billing is too eager and commits a foul.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-2 Lazio

    It's all over.

    Take a breath.

  8. Postpublished at 21:52 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

The VAR check is still ongoing.

Referee Daniele Doveri has been invited to go and take a look for himself on the pitchside monitor.

The decision has been overturned due to a foul committed by Napoli earlier in the passage of play.

A free-kick awarded to Parma instead.

  9. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:50 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-2 Lazio

    No.

Marko Arnautovic is offside and it will not stand.

  10. goal

GOAL - Inter Milan 3-2 Laziopublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 18 May

    Marko Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic heads in from close range and that surely is enough for Inter Milan to win this.

  11. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

Parma are complaining and it will be checked by VAR.

I'd be very surprised if the on-field decision is overturned.

A tense few moments as Napoli wait to learn their fate.

  12. PENALTYpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

Napoli have a penalty deep in stoppage time.

David Neres chops into the box and is caught by Mathias Lovik.

  13. Postpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-2 Lazio

Marko Arnautovic has spurned a great chance to win it for Inter Milan.

Francesco Acerbi heads across goal and Arnautovic, who has a clear sight at goal from six yards, can't adjust his feet to make clean contact.

  14. Postpublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

There are also seven additional minutes in Parma but it's looking less likely there will be a goal with things getting heated and little goalmouth action.

  15. Postpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-2 Lazio

We are three minutes into seven added on.

Have we got a fifth goal to provide a winner in this?

  16. Postpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

It's all kicking off in Parma too.

Both managers - Cristian Chivu and Antonio Conte - have been shown red cards.

It comes following an incident on the touchline when Parma wanted to take a throw-in but players and the managers got involved.

  17. goal

GOAL - Inter Milan 2-2 Laziopublished at 21:41 British Summer Time 18 May

    Pedro

Not an ounce of concern on the face of veteran Pedro as he strides up to the ball and strokes it into the bottom left corner.

Another twist in the title race.

  18. PENALTYpublished at 21:41 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-1 Lazio

    It is given!

Lazio have a penalty and a chance to equalise.

  19. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 18 May

    Inter Milan 2-1 Lazio

Lazio could be set for a penalty here.

It looks like an arm has been used in the box and VAR are going to take a look.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 18 May

    Parma 0-0 Napoli

Parma are also making some changes - three to be exact - but are in no rush as Napoli try to usher players off the field with a little more urgency.

Milan Djuric, Mathias Lovik and Jacob Ondrejka replace Mateo Pellegrino, Ange-Yoan Bonny and Emanuele Valeri.

Napoli boss Antonio Conte responds with a change of his own with Pasquale Mazzocchi replacing Leonardo Spinazzola.
