Ok, so I've gone goalkeeper, right-back...

Two centre-backs and then left-back next, right?!

Sweating after my performance last time. Or maybe it's just the heat. Hot today, init?

  5. 'I believe Arsenal have the potential to do it'published at 13:57 British Summer Time

    Arsenal v Paris St-Germain (20:00 BST)

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger speaking to Sky Sports News about the Champions League semi-final between Arsenal and PSG: "I believe that Arsenal have the potential to do it. Of course, PSG are a very good team as well. Everybody is excited about it, so let's see and hope.

"The teams in the semi-finals have some qualities, then it's down to the form of the day and the main players who can show their efficiency on the day. A little bit that you have no sending off or stupid reaction at some stage.

"Overall, I believe Arsenal is very solid defensively. Over two legs, that has big importance."

The respect between Enrique and Arteta is certainly mutual.

"He is one of the best coaches at the moment," said Enrique earlier this season.

"He changed Arsenal's fortunes from a somewhat winless streak to one of the best teams in the world that is competing for titles."

It's a fair point, Adesoji. Yesterday, the Premier League was rubbish because Liverpool won it.

Today, the Champions League is rubbish.

Dread to think what would be said about the league my team play in...

    It rhymes with Loo.

The way the victory over Real Madrid is being watered down makes me feel we may as well water down the quality of the UCL if Arsenal finally gets to win it. Will the trophy be equated with the community shield? Give them their flowers, Arsenal defeated Real Madrid home and away. We deserve to be here and PSG will feel the wrath tonight. COYG

    Arsenal v Paris St-Germain (20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

"He was extremely supportive with the young players, he was one of the main characters by far. I have really good memories of him (from Barcelona),” Arteta said.

“What I love about him is wherever he’s been, as a player or a manager, his fingerprints are all over the place"

  10. Arteta & Enrique have historypublished at 13:40 British Summer Time

    Arsenal v Paris St-Germain (20:00 BST)

There's 11 years between Arteta and Enrique, but their paths crossed during their playing careers.

The Arsenal boss was emerging from Barcelona's academy when Enrique when is in the first team at the Nou Camp in the 2000-01 season.

Though Arteta never made an appearance for his boyhood club, he regularly trained with the first team.

I think the wingers will decide this exciting and quite even clash between Arsenal and PSG. Saka and Martinelli showed they can step against Real Madrid while Kvaratskhelia and Doue are quite often the difference makers for PSG. I don’t envy the job of the fullbacks of both sides!

In the 4-0 over Ipswich I think Arteta was looking at possibilities for the PSG game.

Rice dropped into the deeper number six role which Partey normally plays in. Merino dropped back into the number eight role. That does mean Trossard comes in through the middle.

That might be a good thing for this game, he's found four goals in four games which is as many as he found in his previous 31. Although they're without Partey, Arsenal will feel pretty strong for this one.

@Rich, London. PSG didn't get battered the other day by Nice. The Nice goalie had the game of his life and PSG were pretty unlucky in that game. If anything, they'll be even more fired up for tonight because of that result. PSG are one of the best teams in Europe and are in the semis due to that, they're not overrated!

  14. Can Trossard lead the line?published at 13:22 British Summer Time

    Arsenal v Paris St-Germain (20:00 BST)

    Alex Brotherton
    BBC Sport journalist

As Sami has mentioned, Leandro Trossard could start in the central attacking role if Mikel Merino drops back into midfield.

The Belgian has played centrally on 14 occassions this season, including in Arsenal's last four Premier League games in which he's scored four goals.

After starting only eight league games in the first half of the season, the 30-year-old has started all but one of Arsenal's last 15 top flight outings.

He's contributed two goals and two assists during Arsenal's run to the Champions League semi-finals, having featured in every game.

Merino is second best header we have after Gabriel. He will be best suited at the DM position given Partey is unavailable. We will miss Partey immensely, but I am more concerned about our goals tonight which is key given it’s a home game and we must take advantage playing at home. Trossard can be amazing in one game and can also completely disappear in other. Biggest CL night in 16 years. COYG!

  16. Myles Lewis-Skelly to stay in defence?published at 13:15 British Summer Time

    Arsenal v Paris St-Germain (20:00 BST)

    Alex Brotherton
    BBC Sport journalist

Some Arsenal fans suggested that Myles Lewis-Skelly could push up into midfield to allow Mikel Merino to stay up front, but it looks like the Arsenal youngster will stay at left-back.

Lewis-Skelly has enjoyed a remarkable rise since the festive period, typified by his stunning goal in the 5-1 league thrashing of Manchester City, and the way he kept Kylian Mbappe quiet as Arsenal eliminated Real Madrid from the Champions League.

Yes, the 2006-born academy graduate is a midfielder by trade. But if he's doing so well at left-back, why move him?

Will Arsenal have to alter the way they approach the game against Paris St-Germain without Thomas Partey?

Gunners fan Harry Symeou believes so, and on The Football News show he added that he thinks the tie will be much more 'cagey' then most people expect.

I agree with Ricky 12.25. Miles Lewis Skelly, Rice, Odegaard as a midfield 3 sounds like a winning formula. Timber at left back, Merino has to start up front. The balance he provides compared to Trossard means we will dominate PSG. COYG!

The Ghanaian is enjoying arguably his finest campaign to date at the Emirates.

    • Appearances: 47
    • Starts: 40
    • Goals: 4
    • Assists: 2

Of those 47 appearances, 36 have come in central midfield with Partey also filling in at right-back.
