The best part? The season is still only in its early stages.

Join us again next Saturday when Cardiff and Bradford face off at the top of League One and Salford City look to displace Swindon Town from the apex of League Two.

Gillingham have been dislodged from top spot on goal difference despite winning 1-0 at home to Notts County to maintain their unbeaten record.

Swindon are the division's new leaders, with an injury-time strike by Aaron Drinan - his second of the afternoon - clinching a 3-1 win over Harrogate to take them above the Gills on goals scored.

Salford leap into third place with a 3-1 success away to Shrewsbury, who slip into the bottom two after that result, coupled with Accrington's 1-0 victory over Colchester.

Cheltenham are now bottom of the pile after they went down a 2-0 defeat at Crawley.

Cardiff's LATE draw with Stockport sees them remain in top spot thanks to their healthy goal difference, just ahead of Bradford City, who celebrated a massive 3-1 derby win over Huddersfield Town.

Doncaster Rovers drop to fifth after a comprehensive 3-0 loss to Wigan Athletic, while Barnsley jump up to third.

Towards the bottom, Port Vale escape the bottom four thanks to a 2-0 victory over Exeter City.

But Peterborough's win over Wycombe Wanderers isn't enough to see them out of the basement but does see them level on points with struggling Blackpool and Burton Albion.

  4. Cardiff fans 'celebrated it like a win'published at 17:28 BST 13 September

    Adam Cottier
BBC Radio Lancashire at Edgeley Park

Cardiff scarcely deserved their equaliser and Stockport had looked so secure but seven minutes of added time left the door open to drama and Salech headed in with precision.

The Cardiff fans unsurprising celebrated it like a win.

It's goals like that that make long away days all the more worthwhile.

    Gillingham 1-0 Notts County

Gillingham seal all three points in what was a close affair between the two sides.

Josh Andrews' header is what made the difference and County just didn't have enough in them to carve out any real chance of grabbing an equaliser.

Despite the victory, Gillingham move down to second in the table as Swindon move ahead on goals scored.

    Luton 2-3 Plymouth

Plymouth may have seen red cards for defender Joe Edwards and boss Tom Cleverley but playing with 10-men after the 50th minute hasn't stopped them from another big win.

First Stockport, now Luton - Argyle are on the rise.

Discipline could have cost them though. Both of Luton's goals were borne from penalties.

As for Luton boss Matt Bloomfield, he'll be more concerned about how his side couldn't take anything away from a game where they had 14 pops at goal.

    Stockport 1-1 Cardiff

Cardiff equalise in the 97th minute to take a share of the points despite a dominant performance from Stockport County.

The home side had 10 more shots than their visitors but their inability to stretch their lead meant Cardiff were able to scramble up a draw thanks to a late header from Yousef Salech.

It means the Bluebirds are still top. Just.

    Stockport 1-0 Cardiff

Stockport's Jack Diamond sets his sights on the corner from outside the box but his shot fails to reach the target.

    Wigan 3-0 Doncaster

Not that they'll be complaining about this scoreline, but Wigan could have added more gloss to it in this second half.

Ryan Trevitt and Paul Mullin have both gone close, with Mullin since substituted as the Latics look to see out the remaining five minutes or so.
