  1. 'Bradford must stay focused'published at 12:42 BST

    Bradford 0-0 Huddersfield

    Andy Kiwomya
Ex-Bradford forward and head of performance on BBC Radio Leeds

Huddersfield have certainly started brightly and Bradford are just coming to terms with how they're playing.

It's important that Bradford City do not get complacent, they need to stay focused and just settle into the game.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:42 BST

    Northampton 0-0 Blackpool

All Northampton so far at Sixfields.

Tyrese Fornah has gone close again after Dean Campbell combines nicely with Ethan Wheatley, who holds the ball up for the Sierra Leone international to strike on his left foot, but wide of the far post.

Blackpool have just mounted their first attack of the game and, after Lee Burge denies Albie Morgan, Josh Bowler goes down in the follow-up - but there's no penalty.

Only a yellow card shown to Bowler for diving, 10 minutes into his third Blackpool debut.

  3. CLOSE!published at 12:40 BST

    Bradford 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield are beginning to take charge of this game now and Ibou Touray's loose pass won't help matters for the hosts.

Terriers forward Marcus Harness drives into the box but Tyreik Wright is able to poach the ball and kick it out of play.

The resulting corner eventually lands to Ryan Ledson, whose straight shot just drags a little wide of the post.

  4. 'Huddersfield keeping the tempo high'published at 12:36 BST

    Bradford 0-0 Huddersfield

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

This is exactly what we wanted.

Huddersfield are on the front foot and they're keeping the tempo high. Bradford can't keep up with the quick passing, we're finding gaps all over the place.

  5. Postpublished at 12:36 BST

    Bradford 0-0 Huddersfield

Bradford's Josh Neufville puts a leg in front of Leo Castledine on the left of the box and gives away a free kick for his efforts.

It's taken with some force by Herbie Kane but his teammates can't guide it into the net.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:34 BST

    Northampton 0-0 Blackpool

Bailey Peacock-Farrell is called into action early on as Blackpool half-clear a throw-in and Tyrese Fornah takes a pot-shot that deflects off a defender.

The change of pace and direction almost wrong-foots the Blackpool keeper, but he recovers to scramble it just around the post.

    Good start by the Cobblers.

  7. Postpublished at 12:33 BST

    Bradford 0-0 Huddersfield

Bradford are looking to get on the front foot early.

A forward ball is sent up perfectly for Will Swan to run onto and while he can't quite weave past the Huddersfield defence, it does give the attacking side a chance to build something.

Max Power curls a delivery into the box but Huddersfield deal with it well to dispel any early danger.

  9. Tshimanga sole Crawley change; Pell set for Robins comebackpublished at 12:26 BST

Kabongo Tshimanga returns to Crawley’s starting line-up, with Ryan Loft serving a suspension in the wake of his red card against Harrogate last weekend.

The Red Devils are otherwise unchanged – while Cheltenham also opt to stick with a winning line-up from last Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Accrington.

Midfielder Harry Pell is included among the Robins substitutes and could make his first appearance in over a year, having suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament on the eve of the 2024/25 campaign.

It’s only September and far too soon to be employing phrases like ‘relegation six-pointers’, yet this Broadfield Stadium clash has a distinct whiff of must-win about it.

Relegated to League Two at the end of last season, Crawley’s start to life back in the basement was less than impressive, with a meagre two points from their first six games.

However, Reece Brown netted the only goal at Harrogate last weekend to give the Red Devils lift-off – now Scott Lindsey’s men must look to back that up with a home victory against Cheltenham.

The Robins’ start to the season was even worse than Crawley’s – five straight defeats, which included a 5-0 thumping at the hands of MK Dons and only one goal scored in that period.

But Cheltenham’s prospects have also begun to look just a little brighter lately, having followed up their first point of the campaign in a 1-1 draw at Salford City by beating Accrington at home, courtesy of debutant Isaac Hutchinson’s early strike, last Saturday.

  11. Five changes for both Accrington and Colchesterpublished at 12:20 BST

    Accrington v Colchester (12:30 BST)

John Doolan makes five changes to the team that last 1-0 to Cheltenham last time out as he looks for the clubs first win of the season.

Seamus Conneely comes in to captain the side this afternoon, with Isaac Sinclair, Joe Bauress, Charlie Brown and Josh Smith also coming into the line-up.

Danny Cowley also shakes things up as his side look to end their winless run of four games.

Summer signings Jack Baldwin, Dominic Gape and Harvey Araujo make their first start for Colchester United. Kyreece Lisbie and Arthur Read also come into the team.

  12. Accrington Stanley looking for first win against struggling Colchesterpublished at 12:17 BST

    Accrington v Colchester (12:30 BST)

Accrington Stanley will need their fortunes to turn around today if they are to steer themselves out of the relegation zone - the club sit rock bottom of League Two without a win in their opening six matches.

This afternoon's game could be the perfect opportunity to pick up their first win of the season, facing a Colchester side without a league win in their previous four matches.

The head-to-head record between the two sides could provide further optimism for the home side, Colchester have beaten Accrington just once in nine meetings other across all competitions.

Danny Cowley's side have proved to be no easy team to beat on the road, having just lost three of their last 15 away league games, keeping seven clean sheets across that time.

  14. Bowler starts for Blackpool; Cobblers unchangedpublished at 12:11 BST

Josh Bowler is handed his third Blackpool debut, one of two changes by Steve Bruce to the side that shared a 1-1 draw with Bolton at the end of last month.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who rejoined the Seasiders on a two-year deal after his exit from Nottingham Forest, lines up alongside Niall Ennis, who returns after suspension. Tom Bloxham and Emil Hansson are the players to drop out.

Northampton boss Kevin Nolan fields an unchanged starting XI for the third consecutive game, with new forward pair Kamarai Swyer and Kyle Edwards both in line for potential debuts off the bench.

  15. Seasiders seek awayday solace at Sixfieldspublished at 12:09 BST

    Northampton v Blackpool (12:30 BST)

Most of Blackpool’s away trips are on the lengthy side – and they’ve probably seemed even longer to the Seasiders’ faithful, who have witnessed three defeats from three road trips so far this season.

Steve Bruce’s side find themselves moored in the relegation zone after a single win from their opening six games – a 3-2 victory on home soil against Huddersfield when all five goals were scored in an action-packed first half-hour.

But the good news for Blackpool fans who have slogged to Sixfields for today’s lunchtime kick-off is that their side have collected all three points on each of their last three visits to Northamptonshire.

Ashley Fletcher and Niall Ennis scored the goals to secure a 2-0 win in the most recent of those Sixfields encounters, back in March.

Having finished two places above the bottom four at the end of last season, Northampton have recovered after a slow start – they failed to win any of their first four fixtures but beat Exeter and Leyton Orient in successive games prior to the international break.

Despite those 1-0 and 2-0 successes, goals have been a major issue for the Cobblers, who have found the net only four times in all this season.

  16. Triple change for Bantams, Castledine makes XI for Terrierspublished at 12:06 BST

    Bradford v Huddersfield (12:30 BST)

Matthew Pennington is back fit again and straight into the XI for Bradford City as they change three.

Alex Pattison and Tyreik Wright join him, while Tommy Leigh is available from the bench.

There's no Curtis Tilt or Joe Wright but Andy Cook is named in the squad as he returns from a knee injury.

After impressing from the bench against Peterborough, Leo Castledine has earned a place in the starting XI as part of Huddersfield's double change.

He replaces Ben Wiles, who doesn't make the journey.

Defender Jack Whatmough also misses out after sustaining a calf injury last time out so in steps Murray Wallace to complete the backline.

  17. Grant 'relishing' Derby day dramapublished at 12:04 BST

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Grant previews the West Yorkshire derby with Bradford City.

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Grant is no stranger to a derby. Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United, Burnley v Blackburn, Derby County v Nottingham Forest - he's been there, done that.

But taking Huddersfield on the short trip to Bradford will be a new one to add to the list and one he's excited to dig into.

"Both sets of players will be relishing the game. I certainly am, I know Graham [Alexander] will be looking forward to the fixture," Grant told BBC Radio Leeds.

"They aren't games you can throw into the pot with every other fixture. They are out on their own, they are special and unique."

The Terriers will be hoping they can come up with something out of the ordinary to disrupt Bradford City's stellar home form. The newly promoted side have not lost at the Valley Parade since March.
