    FT: PSV 1-7 Arsenal

    Wayne Rooney
Former Man Utd striker on Prime Video Sport

I thought PSV's defending was woeful tonight. I'm not trying to take anything at all away from Arsenal, but the defending was not very good at all.

  2. 'No one will want to face Arsenal'published at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    FT: PSV 1-7 Arsenal

    Theo Walcott
Former Arsenal forward speaking on Prime Video Sport

That is a statement win for Arsenal.

All the talk before was about PSV and how dangerous they are, they took out Juventus. But after that no one will want to face Arsenal.

In the Champions League the games a that bit slower and they are well equipped to play with such pace and energy. They were ruthless.

One thing is for sure it looks like Arsenal can pretty much book their flights to Madrid for the quarter-final.

Whether it will be a last-eight meeting at the Bernabeu or the Metropolitano is another matter.

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber speaking to Amazon Prime:

"Massive performance, proud of the guys we showed we are capable of a lot and put ourselves in a good position for next week."

On his goal: "Amazing cross, good header. Nice to open the score. I had to win here, rivals of Ajax so I had to win here."

On trip to Madrid in quarter-final: "We put ourselves in a good position for next week. We get it done there and we'll see."

    Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice:

"We were fluid, enthusiasm, the drive and hunger in the knock out phase of the Champions League. But we've been playing like this all season. We feel we've been playing well as a team sometimes we score five sometimes two sometimes we don't score but tonight we did well. We had the opportunity to score more second half especially."

On Ethan Nwaneri: "Top. He's 17-years-old and he's on the biggest stage. We've taken them [youngsters] under our wing and they deserve to be playing. You should see them train they way they have no fear and want to perform.

"Even if [Bukayo] Saka was here Ethan would be still getting minutes because he's that good and works so hard in training. Same with Myles despite having to come off for the yellow card tonight, we have so many top young players."

On progressing to quarter-final: "Nothing done yet we'll see"

Rezaa: It's been 8 years since Arsenal were last in the quarter finals of the champions league and yet people are doubting Arteta. Give the man the credit he deserves for turning Arsenal into contenders in every competition.

FT: Real Madrid 2-1 Atletico Madrid

    Steve McManaman
Former Real Madrid winger on TNT Sports

I thought Real Madrid just shaded it in the end. When the second goal went in from Brahim Diaz they just took control of the game from that point. Any advantage you can get, even just one goal, albeit small, the margins are so close between these sides that it is very important. The tie is incredibly poised.

Can you believe there was only one booking and that was for celebrating with the crowd?

The likes of Sergio Ramos, Diego Godin and Diego Costa would never have let that happen!

It is such an emphatic victory. The second leg will be a formality. They just have to turn up and get the job done. This will give them great confidence for the rest of the season.

In the second half, Arsenal out of the traps and two quick goals. They've put themselves in a marvellous position.

Kylian Mbappe is played through and he looks to find Vinicius Jr for an easy tap-in but his pass is awful and Atletico survive.

3-1 seems a long, long way for Atletico to come back from.
