Lovely approach play from Atletico as Julian Alvarez finds Rodrigo De Paul but his lofted ball into the box fails to find a team-mate.

    Too easy!

Another quick-fire goal! Less than two minutes after Arsenal added a fourth they've now got a fourth through Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian links up with Riccardo Calafiori down the left-hand slide and pokes it past goalkeeper Walter Benitez.

Arsenal surely through to the quarter-finals.

  3. 'A nightmare to defend'published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

Look at the speed from Nwaneri and the way he caresses the ball to get the cross in where he did, a nightmare to defend. Again it falls nicely for Martin Odegaard and he is there to tuck it away.

  4. Shot shy Lillepublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Lille

Lille have failed to have a shot on target in the first half of four Champions League games this season - the joint-most of any side in the competition (Dinamo Zagreb & SK Slovan Bratislava, also four).

  5. 'That should put the tie to bed'published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    PSV 1-4 Arsenal

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is all about Ethan Nwaneri on that right-hand-side.

Brilliant step over, he leaves Tyrell Malacia for dead. Walter Benitez parries the ball into the path of Martin Odegaard. That should have put the tie to bed.

  6. goal

GOAL - PSV 1-4 Arsenalpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Martin Odegaard

What a pass across the box by Ethan Nwaneri.

Walter Benitez parries it away but straight into the path of Martin Odegaard and he only has to tap home.

    Surely all over for PSV.

I can’t wait to get to Villa Park next week, will be a great occasion once again. If we do progress, I hope it’s PSG. We play Liverpool twice a season.

    Si, ecstatic Villa fan

  15. 'We had unfinished business'published at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

FT: Club Brugge 1-3 Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings: "It is a game over two legs, we were fully aware we would be put under pressure at times but we have such attacking quality we knew we'd get chances.

"It is very easy to let the crowd get a little louder and their chances were getting a little more frequent but we are in the knockout stages of the Champions League. You have to defend well and show character.

"I was more than happy to come back here and play in this stadium again because I think we had unfinished business. I am very proud of what we have done tonight.

"We have a huge game this weekend against Brentford and that is our main focus but when we look at the second leg we know they could have scored a few more goals tonight, as could we.

"We have to let the game take care of itself."

  16. 'We have to expect everything'published at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

FT: Club Brugge 1-3 Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery: "Very important. Very tough match. The idea was to compete how like the players showed there. Of course we could play better, but sometimes competing can get your target and today we showed it.

"We struggled sometimes defending, we needed the goalkeeper and needed the last action with Tyrone Mings. Of course it is a good result but we are getting balance as well.

"Individual skills and individual performances is very important for the team. Leon Bailey scoring today is fantastic.

"We played 90 minutes today, we know we have to play another 90 minutes continuing the gameplan we had today.

"We have to be ready to get extra time and the penalty shootout because we have to expect everything."

Four goals and it could've been more. Arsenal with the two-goal advantage at the break but you get the feeling PSV are not quite done.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Lille

Dortmund think they have a second just before half-time as Pascal Gross slots in from close range but the flag goes up for offside immediately.

That proves to the final action of the half as Karim Adeyemi's goal is all that separates the two sides.
