Wycombe Wanderers' 11-match winning run in all competitions was ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Exeter - but the League One leaders came from two goals down to remain unbeaten in 15.
The home side made a superb start and went in front inside two minutes when Jack Fitzwater's cross found its way to Millenic Alli at the back post and he superbly got the better of his man before deftly dinking the ball over goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli.
Exeter made it 2-0 after 22 minutes when Tristan Crama headed a Kevin McDonald corner against the upright but Jack McMillan reacted quickest to poke the ball over the line from close range.
However, Wycombe were back in the game just five minutes later when Joe Low headed in from an Aaron Morley corner.
That goal spurred Wycombe into life and they should have equalised only for Fred Onyedinma and Richard Kone to get in each other’s way, leaving Joe Whitworth to make a vital save.
Wycombe were in complete control at the start of the second half and equalised in style after 54 minutes when Cam Humphreys curled an exquisite effort into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Ed Francis bent a free-kick just over the bar for Exeter while at the other end Daniel Udoh forced a fine save from Whitworth late on.
