For Fulham I'm getting a bit twitchy with the lack of signings and too many rumours floating around. Fulham need to be smart and sign young but hungry players who want to make their mark in PL. Don't buy Success, Invest in Success and keep it Growing into a team to take on Europe.

Fulham are one of two Premier League clubs yet to sign or sell a senior player this summer, along with Aston Villa, but it appears the London side are attempting to remedy last season’s lack of attacking incision.

They are pursuing a deal for 23-year-old Brazilian forward Romulo, who provided 17 goals and 10 assists in 33 matches last season for Turkish club Goztepe. Six of those goals were penalties but his tally still compares favourably with Fulham top scorer Raul Jimenez, who scored 14 times – including five penalties – in 43 games.

Overall, Fulham’s shooting accuracy was the third worst in the Premier League in 2024-25.

They made an unrivalled 894 crosses in last season’s Premier League, leading to 22% of their goals, but creative midfielders Andreas Pereira, whose Fulham future is in doubt, and Emile Smith Rowe often struggled to break down defences. Pereira created 20 chances from open play, four fewer than Smith Rowe – with both men lagging well behind team-mate Alex Iwobi’s impressive figure of 58.

Two attacking options, Willian and Carlos Vinicius, have left the club on free transfers, while Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete are both out of contract in a few days and are yet to accept the offer of new deals. Wrexham and Everton respectively are circling.

We have asked all day about what your feeling is about your club's transfer dealings so far this summer.

And if there are any fan groups that must be particularly worried about their club's activity, or the lack of thereof, they are those of Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

Both sides had creditable 2024-25 seasons, but are yet to make a single signing since the start of the transfer window.

So let's take a look at what is going at those two clubs...

Re Brentford Excited by this bold move, it's very Brentford! Senior management at the club clearly feel he's the best man for the job and have had the added benefit of seeing him work at close quarters for the past year. The King is dead, long live the Keith! All this doom-mongering talk of relegation is nonsense too. We have upgraded our keeper who will be playing behind two centre halves he already knows. We have replacements for Bryan (who we all knew would go this summer) & Norgs waiting in the wings having been carefully nurtured over the last 12 months since we acquired them, I'm sure we'll not sell Wis too and we'll recruit more as well. An exciting season ahead.

They're not my club but it's actually quite refreshing to see someone promoted from within at this level. These days they'd normally be a caretaker and hope that they do enough to get a job further down the leagues when the new boss brings in their own people. Good luck to him.

  7. How Brentford have found a way to evolve despite losing big namespublished at 14:03 British Summer Time

After coming into the Premier League in 2021, Brentford have not just stayed in England's top flight but they have managed to keep evolving after the loss of key players.

Yoane Wissa arrived for just £8.5m before their first Premier League campaign and has gone on to score 45 goals for the Bees, then Christian Eriksen had a major impact when he was signed halfway through that season.

That earned him a move to Manchester United in 2022 but the Bees replaced him with fellow Danish midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard, while goalkeeper Mark Flekken also arrived that summer.

Defender Pontus Jansson left in the summer of 2023 and in came Nathan Collins, with the £23m signing becoming a lynchpin in Brentford's defence, while Flekken established himself as the Bees' first-choice keeper after David Raya joined Arsenal, initially on a season-long loan.

Brentford made a £35m profit on Ivan Toney as the England striker was sold in 2024 and Wissa and Mbeumo have filled the void, scoring 32 goals between them last term.

Should they, Collins and long-serving midfielder Christian Norgaard all leave this summer, the Bees will hope to discover some more hidden gems this summer.

Brentford supporter. Losing top scorer, club captain and highly respected manager with a set piece coach!! One of the weakest defences in the Premier League also. Could be fighting relegation. But I guess they know what they are doing. Cross fingers.

Appointing Andrews is an utter joke. To compare appointing Frank, when we were a Championship team with little money and him having already managed with a man who has been at terribly unsuccessful sides like the Irish national team, MK Dons and Sheffield, is ridiculous. Phil Giles will carry this failure

  12. 'Andrews could prove a point after Keane remark'published at 13:37 British Summer Time

    Tom McCoy
    BBC Sport journalist

Keith Andrews will become the first permanent Premier League manager from the Republic of Ireland since Chris Hughton left Brighton in 2019 and only the seventh overall in the competition’s history.

Hughton, Mick McCarthy, Owen Coyle and David O’Leary, who were all born in the UK, are classified by Opta as being from the Republic of Ireland since they won caps for the country as players.

Excluding caretakers, and managers from Northern Ireland, Andrews will be just the third Irish-born boss to lead a Premier League club, alongside Joe Kinnear and Roy Keane. Andrews and Keane have a bit of history, with the Manchester United legend making a disparaging remark about the Dubliner when he was named Ireland’s assistant manager in 2020.

Keane spent a year and a half as a Premier League manager, winning 15 of 53 games with Sunderland, so Andrews could prove a bit of a point if he lasts longer with the Bees.

Regarding Keith Andrews appointment at Brentford, we will have to trust the process. The club's management, who have done us so so proud since Benham took over, would have seen something that everyone looking in from the outside wouldn't have.

  14. What is the biggest task facing Andrews?published at 13:26 British Summer Time

Keith Andrews' top priority will be helping Brentford recover from losing virtually the spine of their side this summer, plus their manager.

Goalkeeper Mark Flekken has left for Bayer Leverkusen while captain Christian Norgaard (Arsenal) and 20-goal top scorer Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United) are set to move on too. Forward Yoane Wissa has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest while defender Nathan Collins has been linked with Tottenham.

The Bees have replaced Flekken with Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool, but Andrews will have to act swiftly to make new additions if more of the team's key men are lured away.

The Irishman also faces the challenge of replacing Thomas Frank. The Dane had been in charge since October 2018 and was the third longest-serving manager in the entire Football League before taking the Tottenham job.

Well, there's your talking point for the afternoon sorted.

Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Keith Andrews is the new man at the helm at Brentford.

Bees fans, we want to hear from you. Happy? Sad? Indifferent?

And everybody else just tuning in - what do you reckon to Andrews replacing Thomas Frank? A bold decision? Or one Brentford will live to regret?

    You know what to do!

  16. Andrews' immediate impact on the Bees' defending at set-piecespublished at 13:15 British Summer Time

    Tom McCoy
    BBC Sport journalist

Keith Andrews only joined Brentford last summer, when he was appointed set-piece coach, but the Irishman has now succeeded Thomas Frank as their head coach.

The 44-year-old has no previous managerial experience, though he has served as part of the coaching staff at MK Dons and Sheffield United, plus the Republic of Ireland under-21 and senior sides.

But his work at Brentford has clearly impressed the club hierachy, including a notable improvement in their record at defending set-pieces. The Bees conceded just three top-flight goals from set-pieces in 2024-25 (excluding penalties), at least three fewer than any other club.

That was a substantial reduction from their previous three Premier League seasons. The west London club conceded nine such goals in 2023-24 and 12 in both 2021-22 and 2022-23.
