A hat-trick from Regan Linney helped Carlisle to a convincing victory over Braintree.
Linney curled in the opener after 15 minutes, and the Cumbrians doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark when George Langston turned into his own net from close range after Luke Armstrong squared the ball across goal.
The game was put beyond the visitors when Linney added his second and Carlisle's third from the penalty spot in the 54th minute.
And he completed his treble, while taking his tally to five for the season, as he glanced in a header from Cameron Harper's corner.
Jack Ellis headed in a fifth for Mark Hughes' men to round off the scoring at Brunton Park, with Carlisle moving up to third as they bid for an immediate return to the EFL.
