After winning three of their six home league matches against Celtic between December 2017 and July 2021 (L3), Hearts have since lost each of their last four home league games against the Hoops, including a 1-4 defeat earlier this season.
Celtic have won six of their last seven away league matches against Hearts, scoring 2+ goals in all six of those victories and scoring a combined 10 goals in their last three such wins (3.3 goals per game).
Hearts are unbeaten in six home league games, winning four of these (D2), which is as many as they had won across their previous 11 home league fixtures beforehand (W4 D3 L4).
Celtic’s 7-1 win over Dundee last time out was only the second time Brendan Rodgers had seen his side score 7+ goals in a single match in his managerial career. The other was Leicester’s 9-0 Premier League win over Southampton in October 2019.
Against no Scottish club has Brendan Rodgers lost more league games than he has against Hearts with three (P12 W9 L3), with the Bhoys manager suffering defeat in two of his last four such trips to Tynecastle Park (W2).
