Even when United are playing well they're still playing badly.

    Tim

The problem with this current Man Utd team is the lack of control. We just can't control games, which is worrying. Erik ten Hag is walking on thin ice here if he loses this game.

It's a great ball, a quick pass forward to Brown. He probably need to get a little bit closer.

That is just a little bit of a warning to the threat that perhaps Gent can show Chelsea, but not been enough of it.

  11. Domination from Chelsea will become a theme in this competitionpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 3 October

Chelsea are financially, technically, physically and tactically superior to Gent tonight and it could become a common theme in the Conference League.

The financial disparity between the next best teams in this third tier European competition - Fiorentina and Real Betis - is big enough but for those not in the top five league it is stratospheric.

Even when resting Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and their entire starting eleven from the 4-2 win over Brighton, this is total domination as Gent have failed to have a shot on goal or even get a touch in the penalty area.

However, as much as this is to be expected, it is great work from Enzo Maresca to have drilled his second team as well as his first as they look like a real slick team capable of playing in a more difficult Premier League match together.

Credit to the Belgian fans who have been vocal throughout despite being dominated.
