I think Samu is offside and this goal will be ruled out.

Wow. Pure smash-and-grab stuff. The AEK Larnaca substitutes are on the pitch.

The club's first ever competitive goal against an English team.

    From hero to zero!

The ball is bouncing all over the box and Jan Bednarek hammers home from close range.

But, I think this is offside.

This is very much reminiscent of Forest last season.

    Riad Bajic (51 mins)

    Nightmare.

Dean Henderson comes out of his box and gives the ball to Jaydee Canvot.

But the Palace defender gives the ball away to Marcus Rohden, who picks out Riad Bajic.

Henderson is back in goal by now but can do nothing about Bajic's rocket of a shot from 18 yards.

Forest burst forward. Callum Hudson-Odoi is reluctant to smash a cross across the box for some reason. Neco Williams eventually does it but he slices it into Diogo Costa's hands.

I make that three big chances for Mateta now. Not been his night.

Still plenty of time left to change things.

Huge chance for Palace. Will Hughes and Yeremy Pino play a one-two from a corner. Hughes swings the ball in and the unmarked Maxence Lacroix heads wide from six yards out.

It's great stuff from Dan Ndoye to basically run the length of the pitch and win a throw high up the pitch.

    The Forest fans love that.

Palace, despite having nine shots, failed to hit the target in the first half. AEK Larnaca had two efforts but Dean Henderson did have a save to make.

    I agree, Pammy.

Porto showed signs of life towards the end of the half but you feel they've got more in them.

Promising start by Forest but so far Porto have been poor. The real test for the Dyche ‘bounce’ will be in the second half if Porto wake up.

Already a marked improvement defensively. Hopefully our Achilles heel ,the first few minutes of the second half, doesn't rear it's ugly head.

    Michail Antonio
Former West Ham forward speaking on TNT Sports

I feel it is quite weird what Porto are doing right now, they have been playing their set-pieces short.

I am surprised they are not really putting balls into the box, given how much Forest have struggled with those sorts of balls this season.

  18. 'I hope we recover quick'published at 20:59 BST 23 October

FT: Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

Unai Emery speaking after Aston Villa's Europa League defeat by Go Ahead Eagles: "Today showed us how difficult it is to play away in Europe. Even dominating chances, we conceded mistakes, some chances. We must accept it. There is still work to do. We have broken the good form we have and I hope we recover quick. We were very optimistic before the match, but we lost. Now we have to react."

On the amount of changes made to his starting XI: "It is normal. We need every player."

On what changed in second half: "They had motivation and their goal helped them to feel stronger. The second goal we conceded we have to try to avoid. The first goal was through a set piece. Second half we dominated but we conceded a few chances and they were clinical. They deserved it.

"Europe helped us a lot to come back after our bad start, and now cut. Cut our good moment and keep going and moving forward."

On the missed penalty: "Today the responsibility was for Emi Buendia. Normally he has good numbers shooting penalties, but today he missed. It can happen and we try to get more clinical moments."

On if he needs to find a regular penalty taker: "Our takers our clear. Buendia was today, Sancho, John McGinn, Morgan [Rogers] as well can take penalties."

The Cypriot journalist beside me is applauding in the press box. How many of you thought Larnaca would be holding the FA Cup winners at half-time?
