Play back under way. A pretty tough game to watch really.

A long slow build-up for Palace and then Jaydee Canvot just shoots from 35 yards out. The keeper is scampering across but it goes well wide.

There's a marked difference in the vibe already at Forest. I can't prove that but there's just a lot more smiles on faces, so much noise and a positive style of play from the team. Having Dyche getting that happily animated on the sidelines can only do good.

Brazil's Igor Jesus clatters Argentine Alan Varela and picks up a booking, which means he's suspended for the next game.

A bit of a silly challenge, really.

One or two groans after Yeremy Pino loses possession and then fouls a player trying to win it back.

Palace are starting too look a bit twitchy. Impatient. Selhurst Park has quietened a little, too.

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Porto

Forest are sitting back more after taking the lead but looking to spring on the break when they can.

This is what they were so good at last season and why so many teams had problems with them.

Former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas (remember him?) is in the stands tonight. He's now the president of Porto.

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Porto

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the City Ground

Porto have not trailed in a game this season before tonight - winning 10 of their 11 matches so far.

They had conceded just two goals prior to Morgan Gibbs-White's penalty, to Sporting Lisbon and Red Star Belgrade, but both came when they were already ahead.

The conditions aren't the best here. That's what Yeremy Pino will be saying anyway as he slips while making a straightforward pass.

Corner to Palace as the AEK keeper doesn't deal with an easy enough catch. He doesn't look the best.

Silly from Nikola Milenkovic to barge through the back of Francisco Moura and give away a free kick.

A test for the Forest defence now but they come through with flying colours.
