Dom Thomas opened the scoring after 14 minutes before Louis Longridge doubled the hosts' advantage seven minutes later.
Struggling Airdrieonians couldn't find a response and are now on a losing streak of seven matches.
The victory moves Queen's Park to within a point of Partick Thistle in fourth.
