Aaron Lewis netted an 86th-minute winner as Mansfield came from behind to claim a home victory over Shrewsbury.
The struggling Shrews were given the perfect boost of a gift of a second-minute opener.
Deji Oshilaja failed to cut out Luca Hoole’s low ball across the box which allowed Chelsea loanee Leo Castledine to tuck the ball home at the far post.
Castledine should have doubled that lead after 11 minutes from a Funso Ojo corner but sent a free header wide from close range.
The Shrews had the best of the first half and tested goalkeeper Christy Pym a few times from range.
Lee Gregory hooked an overhead effort wide on 36 minutes in the hosts' first real chance.
But half-time energised Mansfield and they levelled within four minutes.
Aristote Nsiala slid into a tackle on Gregory in the box which brought the Stags striker down and he then sent Toby Savin the wrong way from the spot.
Savin kept out a Stephen Quinn volley with his leg after 59 minutes and Pym denied the Shrews a late winner as he blocked a close-range George Lloyd header.
Instead, Stags snatched it at the other end as a great Keanu Baccus through ball sent Lewis clear to slot home.
