Charlton defender Lloyd Jones picks up a yellow card after just two minutes with an ugly challenge from behind on Richard Kone on the halfway line.

Huddersfield have made three changes from the side that lost at home to Cambridge on Friday.

Josh Koroma, Ollie Turton and Brodie Spencer all start this time around.

An early opening nearly for the visitors too, but it's snuffed out by Fraser Horsfall for the hosts.

If you called this one of the games of the day across the entire EFL, you won’t find too many arguments...

Second in League One against fourth, five points separating the sides with three games remaining.

The Chairboys have won three straight to nip a point above Wrexham and occupy the second automatic promotion place, and have conceded just one goal across their past six matches.

The Addicks have been in even better form, winning 14 of their past 19 games to secure at least a play-off place, and with Wycombe today and Wrexham to play next Saturday, Nathan Jones’ men could even put themselves into position for automatic promotion when they face Burton in their season finale.

Wanderers had taken 11 points from six games against the Addicks before Charlton won the reverse fixture 2-1 at The Valley on 29 December.

If Mike Dodds' men are to get back to business today they will need to end the Addicks’ incredible record on Easter Monday, winning 10 and drawing the other three of 13 games on this day since they last lost to Liverpool in the Premier League in April 2003.

    Blackpool v Wrexham (15:00 BST)

Phil Parkinson looks pensiveImage source, Rex Features

A mouth-watering clash between one team desperate to be involved in the League One play-offs and another desperate not to be…

Steve Bruce’s Blackpool have picked up six wins in their past eight games to lie six points outside the top-six, with a game in hand on the sides they are chasing – albeit against Champions Birmingham, Bruce’s old side, in the final week of the season.

Wrexham have flip-flopped between second and third since the hazy days of August but slipped below Wycombe and out of the automatic promotion places on Friday when they were held at home by Bristol Rovers.

The Red Dragons have drawn three of their past four, and, with red-hot Charlton next up on Saturday, this afternoon feels like a must-win for Phil Parkinson (pictured) and his men.

Easter Monday has been kind to the Tangerines since the tun of the century, they have claimed 41 points from their 21 games played on this day, scoring in 20 of them.

By contrast Wrexham have lost their past three away games on Easter Monday, and have shipped two or more goals in each of them.

What Wrexham wouldn't give for a repeat of Boxing Day, when Steven Fletcher popped in a last-gasp penalty to seal a 2-1 win over Blackpool...

    Stockport v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

Dave Challinor looks pensiveImage source, Getty Images

Huddersfield have finished 29 of the 43 matchdays in League One so far this season inside the top six.

Defeat today, though, and Town's chances of finishing inside that top six will surely be over.

There's not been much to bark about in Yorkshire this calendar year, and just five wins from 20 since January 1 means a return to the second tier at the first attempt now looks unlikely. Only a win will do against Stockport this afternoon.

County themselves already look set to extend their season, and need just a point from the remaining three matches to guarantee a play-off berth.

Dave Challinor's (pictured) men have finished in the top six in their division in every season bar one since the 2016-17 season, and fans at Edgeley Park can almost certainly start to gear up for another tilt at the play-offs next month.

While Birmingham head to Burton looking to edge closer to Reading's 19-year-old EFL points record of 106 across a season, all eyes are on the battle to join them in the Championship next season.

Wycombe are in the box seat, a point ahead of Wrexham with a slightly better goal difference and three games remaining, but they face a stiff test against Charlton, who could throw themselves firmly into the automatic promotion mix with a win, given the Addicks also visit Wrexham next weekend.

This afternoon the Red Dragons head to Blackpool, still battling for a play-off place themselves, with fifth-placed Stockport aiming to pile the pressure on the teams above at home to Huddersfield.

Leyton Orient occupy the final play-off place at present and head to third-bottom Cambridge, who could be relegated if they fail to win.

Play-off chasing Reading and Bolton head to Mansfield and Lincoln respectively.

You can't take your eyes of this division for a moment...

Cambridge v Leyton Orient (15:00 BST)

Both Cambridge United and Leyton Orient are on a run of one defeat in six games, and both need points today for different reasons.

United's four-year stay in the third tier could come to an end if they lose and Burton or Bristol Rovers win this afternoon.

Neil Harris has managed four wins and three draws from 10 games of his second spell in charge, including a win against play-off-chasing Huddersfield on Good Friday.

They'll need to stop another side with aspirations of being in the Championship next season today.

Richie Wellens' Orient have bounced back well from four defeats in a row at the start of March, winning five of their past seven.

The O's now head up the mini league of five teams hoping to end their season with three extra games in May.

Orient came out on top when these two met on Boxing Day, and they could deliver a knockout blow to Cambridge's season with a similar result come 5pm tonight.

  12. Battling Brewers aim to shock Championspublished at 14:47 British Summer Time

    Burton v Birmingham (15:00 BST)

This a fascinating fixture, with Birmingham already crowned champions and Burton having hauled themselves out of the drop-zone for the first time in seven months on Friday.

Despite a stalemate against lowly Crawley three days ago, and with EFL Trophy Final disappointment against Peterborough still fresh in their minds, Blues will have more than half an eye on beating Reading’s EFL record of 106 points in a season, set 19 years ago.

Chris Davies' side need 11 points from their final five games to do just that.

Burton edged above Bristol Rovers and out of the bottom four on goal difference courtesy of their 0-0 draw at Exeter on Friday and are seeking a third straight home win.

Birmingham have taken just four points from the five previous EFL meetings with the Brewers, who have claimed 10 points, and are yet to win at the Pirelli Stadium.

If they can do so today then, after beating Preston North End on Easter Monday in the Championship last season, Birmingham will win successive league games on this day for the first time since 1968.

Keeping track of everything so far? There's barely a game in the third without a team playing for something this afternoon.

Away from our main games, here's what else there is to look out for.

Mansfield and Reading are another pair in need of points for different reasons. The Stags could all but secure themselves another season in the third tier with a win if Burton and Bristol Rovers lose, while the Royals could march into that much-coveted sixth spot if they better Leyton Orient's result at Cambridge.

Bolton can also put the pressure on Orient with a win at Lincoln, one of four teams not playing for promotion or relegation in these final three games.

EFL Trophy winners Peterborough are back on the road at Barnsley today, and Darren Ferguson's Posh can virtually guarantee safety if they better the results of Burton and Bristol Rovers.

The Gas are running out of games to stay in the third tier, and need to beat Stevenage today to boost their chances of getting out of trouble. A win for Alex Revell's men would ensure safety.

Only three points will do for Crawley, looking to avoid an immediate return to League Two after play-off glory last season. Exeter are the visitors to Sussex this afternoon.

A win would also be enough for Northampton to secure their spot in League One for another season - and the Cobblers can heap more misery on already-relegated Shrewsbury today. Michael Appleton's side can still avoid finishing bottom, but must win all three games to stand a chance of overhauling Crawley or Cambridge.

Seven points clear of the drop zone and with the best goal difference in the bottom half, it would take a lot for Wigan to not be in League One next season. They can confirm safety with victory over Rotherham.

A win coupled with a Bristol Rovers draw would realistically be enough too, given the Latics would have a far superior goal difference with two games remaining.

At the foot of League One, Shrewsbury have already had their fate sealed, and could be joined in League Two next season by Crawley and Cambridge this afternoon.

Both must win today to harbour any hopes of survival, and must hope neither Bristol Rovers or Burton (who also have a game in hand) pick up points.

A win for the U's and The Red Devils could put both to within one win of safety, though.

Defeat for Town would almost certainly confirm relegation given their inferior goal difference.

Northampton, Mansfield, EFL trophy winners Peterborough and Wigan can all take a giant leap towards confirming safety this afternoon with a win, as well.

There are several things already set in stone in the third tier ahead of kick-off this afternoon, but there are plenty more issues still to be resolved.

Birmingham are champions and Shrewsbury have been relegated, while Wycombe, Wrexham and Charlton have ensured at least a place in the play-offs.

Stockport will cement their own play-off place this afternoon if they avoid defeat against Huddersfield or if either Leyton Orient or Reading fail to win.

At the other end Crawley will be relegated to League Two If they lose against Exeter AND either Burton or Bristol Rovers pick up a point today, or if Crawley draw and either Burton or Bristol Rovers pick up a win.

The Reds would also go down if they lose AND Cambridge United win, because Cambridge play Burton next weekend, meaning at least one of them would be guaranteed to exceed 43 points.

Cambridge United will be relegated this afternoon If they fail to beat Leyton Orient AND either Burton or Bristol Rovers win.

All clear? Good. Not long to wait to see how it all pans out...

Morecambe's fate could be sealed this afternoon when they host Salford City. They are eight points adrift at the foot of the table and will be relegated from the EFL unless they win.

Even if they do win and Tranmere do the same against Barrow, it would still spell the drop.

Carlisle United stunned leaders Port Vale on Friday and will be full of confidence when they travel to Accrington Stanley, who are two places above them, this afternoon. If they win and Tranmere lose, they would be just one point from safety.

MK Dons and Harrogate Town are seven points above the relegation spots and would be safe if they defeat Crewe Alexandra and Fleetwood Town respectively. Safety could also be secured if they lose, depending on the Carlisle result.

One down, 11 more to come in League Two on a day which could see several things set in stone.

Walsall's point at Newport in the early kick-off means they will be guaranteed a play-off place if either Colchester or Grimsby fail to win

Port Vale will secure promotion to League One this afternoon if they win, Doncaster and Bradford both lose AND AFC Wimbledon fail to win.

This is because Doncaster and Bradford face each other next weekend and therefore both sides cannot collect maximum points from their remaining fixtures.

Doncaster will secure a play-off place if they avoid defeat against Colchester or if Grimsby fail to win.

Bradford will book their play-off place if they beat Chesterfield or if either Colchester or Grimsby fail to win.

AFC Wimbledon will ensure their play-off place if they beat Gillingham AND either Colchester or Grimsby lose.

At the other end, Morecambe will be relegated UNLESS they beat Salford AND Tranmere fail to win.

Carlisle will be relegated if they lose to Accrington AND Tranmere win.

As the dust settles on that late drama, that's now 12 games without a win for Walsall at the worst possible time.

They are back above the dotted line for now, but Bradford, Doncaster and Port Vale will seek to take advantage of their latest slip-up a little later on.

One consolation for the Saddlers is the point will have at least secured them a play-off place, if either Colchester or Grimsby fail to win this afternoon.

Newport stay 18th, for now, but have a nine-point cushion over second-bottom Carlisle, and have a better goal difference, with the Cumbrians having just three games left to play.
