Jamie Murphy scored the opener for Ayr

Ayr United and Queen's Park shared the points in a 2-2 Scottish Championship draw as both sides surrendered leads at Somerset Park.

Jamie Murphy fired Ayr into the lead before Seb Drozd levelled, and Roddy MacGregor then put the visitors ahead all before the half-time whistle.

Mark McKenzie then scored 10 minutes into the second half to snatch a point for Ayr.

Scott Brown's side are guaranteed to finish in third spot but are now without a win in four as they prepare to face either Partick Thistle or Raith Rovers in the first round of play-off fixtures.

Queen's Park, guided by interim head coach Steven MacLean, have now recorded back-to-back draws after a run of nine straight losses across all competitions.

Their safety is secured, pending Hamilton's appeal against their 15-point deduction on Thursday.
