Chris Kane scored after Dunfermline were reduced to 10 men
Chris Kane scored a double as Dunfermline Athletic came from behind to beat Greenock Morton and boost their chances of escaping relegation from the Scottish Championship.
The hosts had to play the final 23 minutes down to 10 men after the dismissal of captain Kyle Benedictus.
But Kane drove in the winner with 11 minutes of normal time left.
Former Dunfermline midfielder Owen Moffat had given the visitors the lead after 33 minutes with a long-range strike from a difficult angle into the top right corner.
Kane fired the equaliser from close range on the hour mark, but defender Benedictus was sent off seven minutes later for a foul on Jordan Davies only for Kane to secure the lead.
Dunfermline stay second bottom but are now one point behind Hamilton Academical, who drew with leaders Falkirk, and 10 ahead of Airdrieonians after their defeat by Ayr United.
Morton are now four points clear of Dunfermline in seventh with a game in hand.
