Match Facts
This will be the first ever meeting between Reading and Harborough Town – the Royals have lost their last two FA Cup ties against non-league opponents (vs Kidderminster Harriers in 2021-22 and Eastleigh last season).
Harborough Town are looking to become the first team to reach the third round of the FA Cup in their debut campaign in the competition proper since MK Dons in 2004-05, and the first non-league team to do so since Whitley Bay in 1989-90.
Reading have won nine of their last 13 home games in the FA Cup (D2 L2), including each of the last three in a row.
Ben Stephens has scored in both of his appearances in the FA Cup proper, with these games coming almost six years apart – he netted a brace for Harborough Town against Tonbridge Angels in this year’s first round, after also scoring for Macclesfield Town against Maidstone United in November 2018.
