1. goal

GOAL - Loughgall 1-3 Ballymena Unitedpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Ben Kennedy - 53mins

Ballymena extend their lead through Ben Kennedy but it's all down to a sumptuous back-heel from Josh Carson into the path of the former Crusaders playmaker who then finishes coolly through the legs of keeper Nathan Gartside.

  2. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Linfield 1-0 Glenavon

Glenavon have come out in the second half with real intent and look threatening going forward.

So far Paddy McLaughlin's side have somewhat pinned the Blues back with Linfield sitting quite deep.

  3. Postpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Cliftonville 1-1 Glentoran

Danny Amos steps up with a free-kick from 25 yards, but his curling effort is turned behind by David Odumosu, and the Reds eventually clear the resulting corner.

It's been a brighter start to the second half from Declan Devine's men.

  4. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Loughgall 1-2 Ballymena United

Nathaniel Ferris slips a clever pass into the path of Conor McCloskey but the winger is struggling to keep his balance and he slides his effort straight at Ballymena keeper Sean O'Neill.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Portadown 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders come incredibly close to opening the scoring via Jordan Stewart.

The away side have been launching long throw-ins into the box throughout, and this time the throw-in lands at Stewart’s feet but he crashes his effort off the crossbar.

The ball then comes to Ross Clarke but Aaron McCarey stands tall and pulls off the save.

  6. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Linfield 1-0 Glenavon

Stephen Fallon whips the ball in from the right with Matthew Fitzpatrick getting his head on it in the box, but his effort is just wide of the near upright.

Up the other end Ben Hall's misplaced pass falls into the path of David Toure, whose strike is blocked by Ethan McGee.

    Lively second half so far.

The most bizarre goal you are likely to see today and an early Christmas gift for Daniel Gyollai.

  9. Postpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Portadown 0-0 Crusaders

Good skill from Jordan Stewart to manufacture the space to shoot, but his shot is right down Aaron McCarey’s throat.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Loughgall 1-2 Ballymena United

That Calvin McCurry goal is the final action of an often chaotic opening period at Lakeview Park.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Cliftonville 1-1 Glentoran

The Glens pull a goal back with virtually the last kick of the half from their goalkeeper to cancel out Joe Gormley's 15th league goal of the season in a half where Cliftonville edged proceedings.

All to play for in an intriguing second half coming up.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Linfield 1-0 Glenavon

Linfield go in at the break a goal to the good at Windsor Park.

Chris McKee's header after 11 minutes is the difference at half-time, with the Blues deservedly in front.

That being said, Glenavon look dangerous on the counter-attack and have scored six goals in their last two games.

This one isn't over by any stretch!

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Portadown 0-0 Crusaders

Not much in the way of goalmouth action at Shamrock Park between Portadown and Crusaders.

Crusaders had the best of the opening minutes and Jordan Forsythe came close with a header from a corner.

Forsythe also came close to grabbing the opening goal with a well struck free-kick that cannoned off the bottom of the post.

Portadown grew into the game as the half wore on though, with Ahu Obhakhan getting into good spaces on several occasions but just lacking the finish.

Josh Ukek also came close with a header which turned out to be the last action of the first half.

  18. goal

    Calvin McCurry - 45+2mins

Ballymena edge in front for the first time as Ben Kennedy's point-blank header from a Josh Carson corner is well blocked by Nathan Gartside but Calvin McCurry is on hand to smash home the loose ball from close range.

  19. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Loughgall 1-1 Ballymena United

Huge appeals for a penalty from Ballymena as Nathan Gartside attempts to punch a free kick clear but appears to collide with Ballymena's Stephen O'Donnell but referee Evan Boyce again sees nothing untoward.

  20. goal

GOAL - Cliftonville 1-1 Glentoranpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Daniel Gyollai - 46 mins

You are unlikely to see a more bizarre goal this season.

Glentoran goalkeeper Daniel Gyollai's free-kick into the Reds penalty area is misread by Odhran Casey and David Odumosu and bounces over the head of the home keeper to level things up on the stroke of half-time.
