I’d organise for Rodri to tour the pitch with his Balon d’Or trophy before the game, at half time, and at approximately 80mins, just in case Real Madrid fancy another wholesale boycott.

  2. Real Madrid 'come into this game perhaps slightly favourites'published at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time

Manchester City v Real Madrid (20:00 GMT)

So I don't know, [Real Madrid] come into this game perhaps slightly favourites because of the weakness at the back of Manchester City and to be honest the front four, Vinicius, Rodrigo, Mbappe.

The best Mbappe of the last year and Bellingham who's getting better, they scored already 59 goals so when you've got two games you're going to always score goals that seem a little bit you know in front of City.

But if there is somebody here that's got something to lose that's Ancelotti because if he doesn't go that way, if there is no Champions League at this stage and for the rest of the season it'll be a very, very long time for him.

In order to beat Real Madrid simply put the Man City badge in the box, they won't be able to step on it so they'll have to shoot from a distance, lowering their chances of scoring

But also, congrats on taking the quiz. Having a stronger football knowledge than me though really isn't that hard.

Now then, as we mentioned earlier, Celtic face Bayern Munich in the Champions League tomorrow. Let's have a look at the results when the pair have met in the competition:

    • 17 September 2003 - Bayern Munich 2-1 Celtic - Roy Makaay's double saw Celtic fall to defeat in Munich.
    • 25 November 2003 - Celtic 0-0 Bayern Munich - A Celtic side featuring the likes of Chris Sutton, Henrik Larsson and Neil Lennon claimed a draw in the group stage.
    • 18 October 2017 - Bayern Munich 3-0 Celtic - Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels were amongst the scorers for Bayern as they cruised to a comfortable win.
    • 31 October 2017 - Celtic 1-2 Bayern Munich - Javi Martinez struck the winning goal in Glasgow to condemn Celtic to a group stage exit.

This is when I find out that the only thing that kept me from being "sacked in the morning" after loads of errors last week was the fact a replacement wasn't then available.

On Wednesday, Celtic face German giants Bayern Munich in the Champions League play-off round.

Brendan Rodgers' side are going to need something special. Luckily for them, Celtic do have history of spectacular Champions League results:

    • 24 November 2004 - Barcelona 1-1 Celtic - John Hartson's goal secured a huge point for Celtic in the group stages in the Nou Camp.
    • 21 November 2006 - Celtic 1-0 Manchester United - Shunsuke Nakamura's stunning winning free kick is still talked about to this day. A huge win which saw Celtic reach the knockouts.
    • 7 October 2007 - Celtic 2-1 AC Milan - Scott McDonald's last-minute winner sent Celtic Park in to raptures as the defending champions were humbled in the group stages in Glasgow.
    • 2 October 2012 - Spartak Moscow 2-3 Celtic - Georgios Samaras struck a last minute winner in Russia, a key result which helped Celtic progress to the Last 16.
    • 7 November 2012 - Celtic 2-1 Barcelona - Tony Watt's crucial second goal gave Neil Lennon's side a memorable win over Lionel Messi's Barcelona which saw them qualify for the knockout stages.

And, in reference to our trap door Looney Tunes suggestion earlier, I want to know how you'd stop Real Madrid in Europe.

Both silly and serious suggestions welcome.

Defender Ruben Dias says Manchester City can "still achieve something beautiful" and rescue "the most difficult" season.

Pep Guardiola's side host defending champions Real Madrid in the Champions League play-off first leg tonight at 20:00 GMT after finishing 22nd in the group stage.

Victory over the two legs would see City qualify for the last 16 and a tie against either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen.

They have also faltered in their Premier League defence and sit fifth, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.

"This has been the most difficult season since I have been here but I am a firm believer that even in the most difficult moments, you can still achieve something beautiful," said the Portugal centre-back, who is one of City's vice-captains.

"We know how difficult it will be to get through but we have loads of guns in the dressing room. We just have to use them in the right way."

That's it from David Moyes, the Everton boss is clearly planning for another long spell in charge of the Blues as he talked about the gulf between his side and Liverpool - but also his desire to bridge that gap, something he says will take a number of years.

Everton manager David Moyes: "We've had a pretty good start, but we're also mindful of the teams we've still got to play.

"There's a gulf between the two squads, and everyone's aware of the difficulty this club has had. Everton had a great result against Liverpool last year.

"We've seen some unpredictability in the Premier League this year in terms of results. Hopefully we can turn this one around."

  19. 'Years before we can compete with Liverpool again'published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time

Everton v Liverpool (Wed, 19:30 GMT)

    Everton

Everton manager David Moyes on rivalry with Liverpool: "I think it's a great footballing city, it's always had incredibly good players, from different generations. It's always been a game where even when I was a young boy I was looking forward to seeing.

"As a football supporter generally it was always one of those games you looked forward to watching.

"I can't kid myself, I've had my fair share of defeats. We're chasing Liverpool, and probably none more so than now. It was always great to get a result.

"But I always go back to my last two years where we finished above Liverpool in the league twice. It took us a good few years to prepare that and get us ready. As you know, we've got a few years to go before we're ready to compete with Liverpool again."
