  2. 'I've still got belief in myself' - Boylepublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    FT: Aberdeen 1-3 Hibernian

Hibernian forward Martin Boyle tells BBC Scotland: "I enjoyed that. I enjoyed the performance, we really stuck in there at times. We showed good character, stuck in there and managed to get the result.

"I'm happy to contribute, I always give my all for this club and hopefully this can continue.

"I was out of the team, I had to be patient. I've still got belief in myself that I can be the player everyone thinks I am.

"When you've got that jersey you want to keep it and hopefully I've done that."

  3. Docherty satisfied despite losspublished at 17:47 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    FT: Rangers 1-0 Dundee

Dundee manager Tony Docherty tells BBC Scotland:"I thought it was a strong performance from us given the form Rangers have been in. You need to make sure your defensive organisation is there and it was excellent in the first half.

"But I did ask the boys to be a bit braver in the second half. I thought we did that and we were a real match for Rangers right to the death, pushing for the equaliser.

"I'm proud of the players. Six of my starting players were 22 or under and three academy graduates. I thought that level of performance shows there's development in individual players and us as a team."

  4. 'The work doesn't stop here' - Graypublished at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    FT: Aberdeen 1-3 Hibernian

Hibernian boss David Gray tells BBC Scotland he's "delighted" with his side's performance and insists they'll keep working hard to get more victories.

"The character has been asked of this group quite a lot and during difficult times we've let ourselves down," he said.

"But we've never shied away from it. The players have taken responsibility and you saw that today. The big thing is the confidence it builds. There's always been the belief we can turn things around.

"We're certainly heading in the right direction. I made the players aware of a stat which was we hadn't won back-to-back league games since December 2023, which clearly isn't good enough for this football club.

"But it gives players the opportunity to change history. The confidence is building, the players can take belief from that, but the work doesn't stop here."

    FT: Rangers 1-0 Dundee

On goalkeeper Jack Butland's pre-match omission, Rangers boss Philippe Clement adds: "People don't need to worry, it was for personal reasons.

"He will be back for the next game. He probably doesn't want me to tell people [why he was absent]."

  9. 'We had enough chances for more comfortable win'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    FT: Rangers 1-0 Dundee

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "We had good chances but you need the second goal to kill the belief of the opponent, that's what we missed today. We had enough opportunities for that.

"The important thing is the three points and it was well deserved. Defensively we did a good job.

"We always want to give our fans more than 1-0. We want to score three, four. The crossbar didn't help today."

  17. FULL-TIME Ross County 1-2 St Mirrenpublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

St Mirren hold on after County's late pressure and then 10 men have all three points.

It looked like these two would not be split in Dingwall but Oisin Smyth's 90th-minute free-kick sent the 425 travelling fans home happy.

Alex Iacovitti had stabbed the visitors ahead, scoring against the club he used to captain, before Michee Efete's cool finish levelled the score 29 seconds into the second half.

But Smyth's smashed set piece means St Mirren are grinning before Christmas Day.

  18. FULL-TIME Rangers 1-0 Dundeepublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

Job done for Rangers, but they failed to kill the game off and Dundee made it a wee bit nervy at the end.

But it's four straight wins in the league for Rangers, their best run of the season, and they're up to second place for the first time.

Aberdeen's winless run continues after a difficult day out at Pittodrie. Although Jimmy Thelin's side had decent spells in possession, they couldn't make anything stick.

Continued improvement from David Gray's Hibs side, who move further clear of the bottom of the table.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Rangers 1-0 Dundee

Rangers crack the bar for the fourth time.

Incredible stuff. As Dundee chuck men forward Rangers break and Cyriel Dessers receives the ball in the box, but can't keep his shot down.

Moments earlier Ross McCausland's composure deserted him from a similar counter attack.

    Poor from Rangers.
