Sahid Kamara hit the winner as Braintree ended a two-match National League losing run with a 1-0 win over Yeovil Town.

The Glovers almost took an early lead when Josh Sims' curling effort from just inside the box came back off the crossbar.

And Braintree had a golden opportunity of their own as Fletcher Hubbard played in Lewis Walker but he shot narrowly over the bar and at the other end Mason Terry was forced to make a smart stop to deny Sims a second.

After the break, Tommy Smith failed to turn the ball home after Hubbard's corner caused chaos in the box and Yeovil's best chance fell to Ben Wodskou, who fired narrowly wide.

But the winner came 13 minutes from time when Marley Marshall-Miranda played a ball over the top for Kamara, who controlled well and fired beyond Jed Ward.
