Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez won't be punished by the FA for his controversial video, which is alleged to have included racist and homophobic while on international duty with Argentina.

The incident was considered part of FIFA and CONMEBOL's remit as it happened at Copa America.

It effectively means that Fernandez will avoid a six to 12 match ban that is stipulated for discriminatory behaviour or language under FA rules.

FIFA continue to investigate the video which Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana described as 'uninhibited racism'.

  4. Walcott pays tribute to the late Erikssonpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 13 September

    Theo Walcott
Former England forward on The Football News Show

My memories of Sven were really similar to Arsene [Wenger] in some sense. I worked with Arsene for 12/13 years and Sven for a short snippet but that felt like a lifetime because he would have so much time for people, particularly off the field which was really key.

He had this aura around him where he'd have the respect of so many people. What he did in his career is exceptional and to take England so far but not quite getting them to the level but starting them on a journey of a new way of playing and philosophy.

He eased me in and I never really had a one-on-one chat with him away from the football field but on the field, he always had time for me and I'd always go up and chat to him when I could just on small factors about playing football. His football knowledge was incredible.

[I] Can't thank him enough for giving me the opportunity to represent England, to be there, and to make me into the person I am because without that I don't know where I'd be right now. Want to wish his family all the best and may he rest in peace.’

  5. 'Mohamed Salah will score' - Suttonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 13 September

Liverpool v Nottingham Forest (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    Former Premier League striker

I am at Anfield for Radio 5 Live and I am looking forward to seeing Arne Slot's Liverpool.

Liverpool have not conceded a goal yet, and don't give away many chances, but they still look good going forward and absolutely tore Manchester United apart at Old Trafford.

Chris Wood is in good form for Nottingham Forest but I just don't see them scoring. Their plan will probably just be to sit in and try to keep Liverpool out, but I don't think that will work either - Mohamed Salah will score, and Slot will win again.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Former Tottenham midfielder Michael Brown and ex-Arsenal winger Theo Walcott joined the Football News Show to discuss Sunday's north London derby.

Can Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou record his first win over their rivals or will it be Mikel Arteta smiling at the end of this one?

  7. Odegaard a 'big miss' for north London derbypublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 13 September

Tottenham v Arsenal (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Theo Walcott
Former England forward on The Football News Show

Odegaard has been an incredible leader. Not so much as a big talker but by the way he sets the press and reflects Arsenal's style. He'll be a big miss but it's an opportunity for another player to come in and put an authority in that position because if some point you might need to rest Odegaard you need someone ready to come in.

I think the fact that Tottenham play a very high line, pace will be a very big factor in this game.

They have Leo Tossard and Raheem Sterling who can do that role, both of them very technically gifted players.

If they want to win the league they need to do it without Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard at times.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta did not rule Martin Odegaard out of Sunday's north London derby in today's news conference.

  8. Arsenal can use North London derby as an 'opportunity'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 13 September

The Gunners will be without the suspended Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard is a major injury doubt.

  9. 'I am going to back Rashford and United' - Suttonpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 13 September

Southampton v Manchester United (Sat, 12:30 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    Former Premier League striker

It is going to be difficult for them [Southampton] against Manchester United. Erik ten Hag's side have their own issues, which means people don't predict United's results, they guess them... but they should - should - have too much quality for Saints.

Southampton will try to be bold but that probably means they will give up chances and, because I've seen Marcus Rashford has been having extra training sessions, I am going to back him and United to take them.

    Sutton's prediction: 0-2

Unfortunately not, Ben. No mention of Bailey from Emery. Just our updates of Konsa and Watkins.

  11. 'The safe bet would be a draw'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    Former Premier League striker

Newcastle are unbeaten in the Premier League so far but their performances have not been there and they have got away with it a little bit up until now.

Wolves, in contrast, are yet to win. They made lots of mistakes when they got hammered 6-2 by Chelsea, but created plenty of chances themselves too.

Is it going to click for Newcastle this time, or will Wolves get it together? You could make a case for both teams and, whoever wins, it would not surprise me.

The safe bet would be a draw here, and you can guarantee that is the result the public will vote for above, but only spineless people would go for that...

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1

  12. O'Neil hints at Wolves' future spending but ready to meet the challengepublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 13 September

    Nick Mashiter
    BBC Sport football news reporter

It has been widely accepted for some time but Wolves boss Gary O'Neil slipped in a telling quote during his pre-Newcastle press conference.

Wolves' finances are known to have been restricted this window but the manager has given the clearest indication things are changing for, potentially, the foreseeable future.

"The transfer windows now for Wolves are not what they were. [Ruben] Neves, Matheus Cunha, and Mario [Lemina] arrived for big fees. It's different," he said.

"The excitement for me now is we know where we are now, we have opportunity to upset what people expect from us this year."

There were frustrations with the limitations during the summer, O'Neil saying the squad was not where he expected it to be in terms of transfers, but it is clear he will meet the challenge head on.

He still has credit in the bank from a positive first season and was clearly buoyant at Compton now the window has closed and the distractions are over.

Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brentford and Manchester City await in the Premier League in their next four games but, given O'Neil's track record of producing unexpected results, Wolves should not be written off during a tricky fixture list.

  13. 'Not many people outside of here expect us to take many points'published at 15:13 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Wolves

A final word from Gary O'Neil about whether there was a siege mentality at Wolves after his side bounced back from defeats to Arsenal and Chelsea by claiming a point at Nottingham Forest in their last match before the international break: "We know at this moment we are going to play a lot of teams who are expected to finish high up the league. Not many people outside of here expect us to take many points, but that is not our expectation. Our expectation is to show we have got a good side and see what we can achieve."

  15. 'Carlos has blistering pace' - O'Neil on deadline-day signing Forbspublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Wolves

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil says that Portuguese winger Carlos Forbs, who made a deadline-day loan move from Ajax, gives the squad "something we haven't got much of": Finally got to introduce him to the group today, he got to meet everyone today. He has bundles of potential, which is key to what we are trying to do with players.

"There is a lot of potential to grow and become a regular, high-level Premier League performer.

"He has good pedigree - came through Manchester City and played games at Ajax.

"Carlos has blistering pace. My first glimpse of him in training, we had enough to see where he is. He gives us something in the group - pace and dynamic one v one - which we haven’t got much of."

  16. 'I'm sure Howe will be successful - no matter where he goes'published at 15:05 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Wolves

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil on good friend Eddie Howe, who bring his Newcastle side to Molineux on Sunday: "British managers working in the Premier League - there aren’t too many of us, so it’s nice to see Eddie working high up the league. You don’t get that through luck - it’s sacrifice, hard work and intelligence."

On whether the two managers talk about their jobs: "We don’t bounce things off each other, we’re both a bit too private and proud for that, but there’s still a real respect for what he’s done there. I’m sure he’ll be successful no matter where he goes."

  17. 'I expect Sa to stay and fight for goalkeeping spot'published at 15:02 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Wolves

Gary O'Neil says he expects goalkeeper Jose Sa to stay and fight new signing Sam Johnstone for the goalkeeping spot: "Jose will be here, he’ll fight with Sam for that spot. You don’t need me to sit here and tell you how many big saves he’s made and what he’s capable of.

"He [Sa] has his opportunity to fight for the place. I know the goalkeeper always feels different but every person who is playing knows that if there is a lack of form then there is someone there to take their spot.

"I expect Jose to stay, I expect him to fight Sam, Dan [Bentley] and Kingy [Tom King] for the goalkeeping spot."

  18. Team news - late checks on Ait-Nouri & Leminapublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 13 September

Wolves v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Wolves

Gary O'Neil started his news conference by declaring his squad had a clean bill of health: "Everyone is OK, we have a couple who haven’t trained much. Rayan [Ait-Nouri] and Mario [Lemina] picked up some slight knocks. Everyone is in a decent spot, a couple of late checks to make sure they are OK for the weekend.

"Yerson Miosquera had some cramp in both calves, he didn’t train fully with us today, we gave him an extra day to recover fine. He should be good to go for the weekend."

We are going to wait and see - Guardiola on Man City hearing

Pep Guardiola says he is glad the hearing into Manchester City's 115 charges for alleged breaches of the Premier League's financial rules will begin on Monday.

City were charged and referred to an independent commission in February 2023 following a four-year investigation.

It is alleged City breached the Premier League's financial rules between 2009 and 2018.

  20. 'Dyche is under the pump'published at 14:51 British Summer Time 13 September

Aston Villa v Everton (Sat, 17:30 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    Former Premier League striker

Everton boss Sean Dyche is under the pump after their capitulation against Bournemouth last time out. It feels like some of their fans have turned against Dyche now, which I think is ridiculous, but he does need a result and unfortunately for him Villa Park is not a place I see Everton getting anything.

The Toffees got hammered 4-0 there last season and, although they will put up a fight, they are not going to get a result on this occasion either.

How many goals Villa get might depend on whether Ollie Watkins is fit. He's in my Fantasy team, which is bad news for him anyway, but he is an injury doubt after pulling out of the England squad.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0
