  3. 'Everything is quite dark' - Thelinpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Dundee United 2-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "In the end, our game summarises our season a little bit. It has been inconsistent in games and between games.

"It can be short moments in the games when we fall too deep and can't really control the situations. That's a thing we have identified and tried to work with and do better.

"Right now, everybody is so disappointed. Everything is quite dark right now. But it's also my job to look to the future in an optimistic way.

"We have come from a really tough season last season and had a goal to arrive in Europe, we are in Europe.

"With our inconsistency we didn't do enough to deserve more over the whole season. This is the first year of a three-year journey. We have identified things we tried to make things better and more stable."

  4. Johnston wants to 'keep racking up titles'published at 15:55 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Celtic 1-1 St Mirren

Celtic right-back Alistair Johnston says "it's lovely" to be able to celebrate another title.

"When you start off the season, the main goal is to win the league, to show you have been the best, most consistent team, and that's what we've been," the Canada international tells BBC Scotland.

"You just want to keep racking up the titles."

Speaking of James Forrest's 16th goal in successive seasons, Johnston says that "to tell your kids and grandkids you have played with legends like him is pretty special".

  5. 'Testament' to Forrest's 'professionalism'published at 15:52 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Celtic 1-1 St Mirren

Asked who writes James Forrest's scripts, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says of the winger "it wasn't me - he writes it himself" after the late equaliser against St Mirren that secured a 16th consecutive season of scoring for the club.

"Last minute, last kick of the game, and a really good finish - he had to show composure and finished it so well," the Celtic manager tells BBC Scotland.

"It was an amazing finish to the game. It is a testament to his tremendous professionalism and hunger. He is so disciplined in his profession.

"He clearly has an emotional attachment to the club - he has been here since he was young and to have lasted this long at a club like this, you have to be doing so many things right and you also need to be performing.

"He has performed to such a high level and he is deserving of that and I'm so happy for him because he is at that stage of his career where he still has a lot to contribute and he'll hopefully continue to do that."

"To serve them on a day like today, it is a real honour and privilege to manage the club and, of course, when you pick up the title, it is a real conviction for all the hard work.

"It is the expectation of the club - it drives you every day and, when you are at such a big club, there is no time to rest.

"We enjoy this today and tonight and the supporters deserve to do that, but you are quickly on to next week and the next season."

Dundee United and Aberdeen are making no comment regarding an incident at the end of their match at Tannadice which left Jack MacKenzie needing stitches.

Left-back McKenzie, an unused substitute, received treatment on the pitch after he appeared to have been hit by an object thrown from the stands where Aberdeen fans were sitting.

Both clubs want time to gather more information and assess what happened before making any comment.

BBC Scotland have also contacted the SPFL.

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

Speaking after the 2-2 draw with Rangers, Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "We gave away a bad goal and put ourselves 1-0 down very early on.

"It was never going to be a nothing game, there's always a wee edge to these games.

"It was a bit frantic, both teams were desperate to win. We didn't want to just fade away, it was full commitment from both sets of players. There was everything in the game.

"It was probably fitting with the way our season has gone. To not lose is another positive, the players could enjoy 'Sunshine on Leith' again, fully deserved for their efforts."

  10. Thelin condemns 'unacceptable' MacKenzie incidentpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Dundee United 2-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin on Jack MacKenzie's horrible injury after being hit by an object.

"I just spoke with him, he's okay but it's quite a bad injury," he told BBC Scotland.

"It's unacceptable it happened to a football player who is just playing football and gives so much for us.

"This is unacceptable and can't happen.

"We have to get all the facts of what actually happened. All we know is Jack got a really bad injury as a player doing his job, performing for Aberdeen football club.

"This cannot happen in this way."

  11. 'Incidents like this highlight need for goal-line technology'published at 15:33 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

Rangers have issued a statement regarding the decision to not award the Ibrox side a goal seconds before Hibs' first equaliser.

"Incidents like this again bring into question the effectiveness of VAR and also highlight the need to introduce goal-line technology in Scottish football," a Rangers spokesperson said.

“Our supporters, players and staff deserve better. We will raise this with the Scottish FA and continue to press for initiatives which improve the accuracy of decision-making.”

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

On his future, Rangers caretaker boss Barry Ferguson adds: "It's been a brilliant three months, I've loved every single minute of it. We'll see over the next few days the way the club will go forward.

"I had a role before at the club which I really enjoyed before this got sprung on me. I'd have been an absolute mug not to take it.

"I knew there was going to be challenges, but anyone who knows me personally knows I'm not scared of a challenge. It's a challenge I'd be more than willing to take on."

  13. 'Clear VAR not working' - Fergusonpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

Rangers interim head coach Barry Ferguson tells BBC Scotland: "It was crazy. Some of our play was really good, we could have won by a number of goals. That's frustrating, we weren't ruthless in brilliant positions.

On Nicolas Raskin not being awarded a goal after the officials felt his effort was cleared off the line by Rocky Bushiri, he adds: "It was a clear goal, it was there for everybody [to see]. It was clear to me it was over the line, then it goes to VAR and for some odd reason, they don't see it being a goal.

"That's frustrating, disappointing, and worrying. We need to be getting these decisions correct, that's why VAR is here. It's clear VAR's not working.

"I've watched it five or six times. It's clear as day that the ball is over the line."

  15. MacKenzie incident 'a disgrace' - Goodwinpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 17 May

    FT: Dundee Utd 1-2 Aberdeen

On the incident at the end when Aberdeen's Jack MacKenzie was hit by something thrown from the stands, Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin has labelled it "a disgrace".

"I deliberately took myself off the pitch as quickly as I could because we've had previous with the Aberdeen supporters in the past - I've been hit with a number of objects in the fixtures we've played," he said.

"I'm really disappointed to hear young Jack MacKenzie has been hit by an object thrown by his own supporters. He's inside having stitches now, it's an absolute disgrace.

"It's probably taken something as serious as this to happen for the authorities to finally step in and do something about it to identify the idiots who let down a really good club."

    FT: Dundee United 2-1 Aberdeen

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "We feel absolutely brilliant, as you can imagine. The celebrations in the dressing room are great to see.

"I just think it's a wonderful way to finish off a really good, strong campaign. We've been getting a lot of criticism of late and rightly so for our performances in the past four games.

"But as I said the league is decided over 38 games not just the last four. We gave ourselves an opportunity today.

"It's been a remarkable effort from top to bottom at the club. It's been a really good two years.

"I've had a couple of promotions as manager and enjoyed those moments. Today feels like one of those moments in qualifying for Europe.

"It will be a new experience but one we're excited for."
