Toni Leigh Finnegan gave Aberdeen the advantage deep into first half stoppage time when she headed beyond Lauren Perry who had already had to make several saves in the first half.
Alex Clarke got Aberdeen's second early on in the second half, she rounded Perry in the Montrose goal and tapped into an empty net to get her first Dons goal.
