Summary

  1. Rodgers to be 'careful' with Jotapublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Celtic v Dundee United (15:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers admits he will approach Jota's return to full fitness with caution as the attacker starts this afternoon.

"He has not played a great deal of football," he said of the Portuguese winger.

"But you see his quality and class, we have to be careful with him. He is getting better each day in training and he's getting game time. And he starts today, which is great."

On keeping up intensity following midweek match, Rodgers added:"We have played big games, Champions League games, and came out with the very next game with the same intent and same mentality to win the game. It'll be exactly the same again."

And, on conceding in just one league game at Celtic Park this season, Rodgers commented: "It is mentality. The importance of every game here is not lost on the players. My job is to make sure everyone is aware of that. It tells you everything about the mentality of the team."

Motherwell have been without a manager for a little over a fortnight since Stuart Kettlewell stepped down. Interim boss Stevie Frail says it was always the intention he'd be in charge this afternoon.

The media seats are just behind the directors' box at Fir Park and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled to see if we've any unusual or noteworthy spectators that could give us a clue as to who the next Motherwell manager might be.

I've not noticed anyone with a fake moustache or the like...yet.

Defender Joe Shaughnessy could make his first league appearance of the season after featuring as a late substitute against Airdrie.

Aberdeen are unchanged after they comfortably beat Dunfermline Athletic in the cup last Sunday.

The eye-catching news comes from the bench, where goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov is named alongside Palestine international striker Oday Dabbagh, who could make his debut.
