Match Facts
Atalanta and Slavia Prague will meet for the first time in European competition, although this will be Slavia’s second consecutive UEFA Champions League match played away to an Italian side (lost 3-0 v Internazionale on MD2).
Slavia Prague are winless in 10 previous away games against Italian sides (including qualifiers), suffering defeats in nine of those matches (D1). They’ve conceded 22 goals across those 10 outings, at an average of 2.2 per game.
Atalanta came from a goal down to win 2-1 against Club Brugge on MD2, netting their latest ever winning goal in the UEFA Champions League (86:27 - Mario Pasalic). They will have the chance to win consecutive home games in the competition for just the second time, last doing so in February 2020 (v Dinamo Zagreb and Valencia).
Slavia Prague are winless in their last 13 games in the UEFA Champions League (D5 L8), with their last victory in the competition coming in September 2007 v FCSB (2-1). This is the longest current winless run of any team involved in the 2025-26 edition.
Atalanta have only lost three of their last 13 home games in the group/league phase of the UEFA Champions League (W4 D6), with two of those defeats coming by just a single goal (2-3 v both Villarreal in 2021-22 and Real Madrid in 2024-25).
Slavia Prague haven’t won any of their last nine matches in major European competition (D3 L6), and could go 10 without a win for the first time since December 2009 (a run of 19 games - longest in club history in major European competition).
Three of Atalanta’s last four UEFA Champions League goals have come via set pieces (throw-in, penalty, corner), including both of their goals this season. By contrast, opponents Slavia Prague have only scored one of their 11 goals from set pieces (9.1%), the lowest percentage of any team to score 10 goals in the competition’s history.
Only five teams have had fewer shots on target in this season’s UEFA Champions League than Atalanta (5), and only three teams have produced a lower xG in open play (0.98) than La Dea. Excluding penalties, only Monaco (67%) have seen a higher percentage of their xG come from set plays this season than Atalanta (64% - 1.74 of 2.72).
Lukás Provod has assisted both of Slavia Prague’s goals in the UEFA Champions League so far this season (2), while he also leads all players for his team for chances created (7), progressive carries (14) and line-breaking passes (13).
After scoring the winner against Club Brugge on MD2, Mario Pasalic is now the Atalanta player with the most goals (8) and most goal involvements (13 – five assists) in the UEFA Champions League, overtaking Duván Zapata in both categories (12 – seven goals, five assists).
